I wrote a review earlier, but at that time I didn't know the results for the shedding. I can now say that this product absolutely helps with shedding. My cat shed terribly and now doesn't shed at all. I am very pleased with it.

"Great stuff"
I originally got this from my vet. I started my cat on it because of constipation. I mix it with her wet food and she seems to like it. She has more spring in her step now. Before she had a hard time jumping up on the bed but now it is like she just leaps up. Her coat is starting to look much better also. Still a little to early to tell about the shedding.
Diabetic kitty w/ Lantus Glargine and digestive enzymes. Gets constipated because the wet food does not make her drink more water. So, she gets sub q's every other day. I had been using whole ground psyllium husk which works like a charm overnight, but wanted to know if this would cause problems with the enzymes she gets form the vet's office.
Hello Buddy , We hope you and your pet are doing well today. The Missing Link would be safe for your cat to take with the prescription food. It will add the food an pick up where the prescription food miss in vitamins a nutrition supplements. It will not affect the glucose levels in your pets immune system. We look forward to helping you and your pet again.
I'm very sorry to hear your cat is suffering from constipation. The Missing Link is a nutritional supplement which was developed to target the nutritional gap between what nature provides and what is available in commercial foods, and does promote better digestion.
Cats with chronic or recurrent episodes of constipation may benefit from additional fiber in the diet. Flaxseed, which is in the Missing Link, is an excellent choice because it also contains Omega-3 essential fatty acids, and its high content of lignans may help prevent some types of cancer. Because of the high fiber content in the Missing Link, it is recommended that you start with small amounts and gradually increase to the recommended level over the course of a week or two.
My understanding is that garlic, leeks, and onions can poison a cat's liver.

You're correct. I don't understand why they would include it, as common knowledge dictates that garlic, onions, chives can damage the liver and even be lethal.
I would stick to multivitamins and a good balanced food.
