Resco Flea Comb
I would recommend this flea comb. We do animal rescue and have multiple cats. If one picks up fleas they all do, so it can be very overwhelming. This flea comb really helped to pick out the fleas from our cats, and they did not seem to mind being combed. The comb in combination with flea treatment really helped.

LOVE IT
I have two Chihuahuas that had a bad case of fleas. I tried several different treatments and none of them seemed to help. After one swipe with this comb on my dog, I knew this was money well spent. I either have a glass of water handy or run water over the comb with the faucet to clean the fleas off between swipes. I highly recommend this product!

Very effective!
I was concerned reading some of the more negative reviews but I haven't had problems. I have a small, short coated dog who is allergic to fleas. This comb seems very sturdy (I use slowly) and very effective. Keep a glass of water with a few drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid nearby to quickly dip the come and drown the fleas. I'm very satisfied and pleasantly surprised at the ease and effectiveness!

Not very good
I purchased this comb at full price and two teeth fell out of it after the third use. I have short hair domestics so there is no getting tangled in their coat. The comb is not made well and comes apart--a waste of money.

My groomer said I should buy a stanless comb with sharp teeth to keep my cat from getting mats. The ones they have at the pet store do not have sharp teeth.
AnswersAnswer:Â The teeth are not sharp, but I like it for grooming my cats. I am not sure that your cat will tolerate very sharp teeth.... Mine don'tAnswer:Â The teeth have to be sharp enough to get through the fur but not so sharp that they scrape the skin.Answer:Â I know the manufacturer of this comb makes combs that have tapered pins with rounded tips which allows you to comb through and remove mats easier....not sure if that is what you mean by "sharp". As far as preventing mats you'll need to comb your cat on a regular basis as well..... at intervals based on the length of fur, activity, etc. Hope that helps.AnswersAnswer:Â No. I just start at the base of my cat's tail and work my way up then back to the tip of her tail. She loves it and I don't wake up to fur balls on my carpet.Note: Any trademarks are the property of their respective companies. |
