How it works: One of the active ingredients in ProMotion is glucosamine, which is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pets joints while exercising. Many believe that it provides clinical benefit in the synovial fluid by strengthening cartilage and aiding glycosaminoglycan synthesis. Further research on the effectiveness of glucosamine is still needed, but many of our customers find it to be very beneficial to their pets. ProMotion also contains manganese, which helps maintain adequate levels of nutrients required to build and repair connective tissue. Another ingredient, cysteine, helps the body detoxify and protects cells from free radical damage.
Cautions: This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only. Diabetic dogs should have their blood glucose monitored when taking glucosamine supplements.

When my Brussels Griffon was 18 months old I was told he had hip dysplasia. My vet recommended ProMotion and Samson is now 12 years old and has never needed surgery. He loves to play but has never been able to jump. He can go up the 3 steps to get into our bed. While I have never tried tasting them Samson seems to like the flavor just fine.
Our daughter, a vet, gave us a supply when our standard poodle Liza started exhibiting hip pain at age eight. In just a few days she no longer showed any discomfort. At age 13 Liza is still fine on one pill a day. The only downside is that she will not eat it unless given as a pill or in food.
We have a 13-year-old standard size dachshund who was starting to have some limping on one of his back legs. Our vet recommended this and it has been amazing. You would think he was 7 instead of 13! I would recommend it to everybody.
A local petstore owner suggested this for my 8 year old Australian Shepard as he was not able to jump into the back of the pickup anymore and you could tell his hips were hurting. Within a week he was bouncing around like a puppy again and now can jump into the pickup (after we bought him a ramp). This is a great product and I have told friends to try it with their animals.
My lab has been on ProMotion for almost 9 years now. She gets around great, you would never know she has hip problems. I got this product from my local vet and then found it at Pet Meds for $20.00 less a bottle! It is a GREAT PRODUCT!
Our dog is in early stage renal failure and does not eat animal fats or products, so the bacon flavor is not good for him .... are the plain still available?
