When my mom who lives in Puerto Rico called asking if I knew of something that would help with Swiffer's tick problem (she was afraid of Lyme disease) I immediately went to 1-800-Pet Meds and looked for something specifically for that problem. I found the Preventic Amitraz Tick collar for dogs (Swiffer is a Beagle) and sent it to her. Within 24 hours of wearing the collar, the ticks were DEAD! They can’t hide in his ears neither in between his toes, NO WHERE!!
Now Swiffer is able to run again in the backyard without fear of getting bitten by any ticks, and my mom doesn't need to fear catching Lyme disease. What a wonderful product. My mom says that Swiffer will never be without his Preventic Tick collar for as long as he lives.
My vet recommended this tick collar for 3 months with Virbac Tick Treatment once a month because my dog was having an allergic reaction to ticks. This tick collar is so easy to put on and you just leave it on for 3 months and it works so well! It's amazing...if you find a tick, it's dead! Great product! Highly recommend!
We live in middle TN on 40+ acres of cedar trees. My 3 dogs were covered in ticks and nothing I used seemed to help. I searched your webside for a collar primarily for ticks. I ordered 3, and after just a few days the tick problem was under control. These collars work wonderfully for my dogs who are totally outside dogs and have free run of the property. I will keep these on them year round now.
after fighting tick for years, we found out about this collar from a vet, we gave it a try, we could not believe the results, the ticks were falling off in a few days they were tick free. best collar we've ever used. I see people looking for tick collars at petsmart and tell them about your site..as they don't carry it...
This is a great product but I am concerned about my 2yr old touching it. We have 3 Large labs and they are indoor dogs who socialize with family and friends daily and like to rub against you. Something across the top of the collar would be great. Thanks.
I am not aware of any weight restriction. The collar choice is based on the neck size. There is an age restriction however. Pets must be at least 12 weeks of age or older.
