What is PetArmor - Generic To Frontline Top Spot?

As seen on TV, PetArmor® is a flea and tick preventative that works just like Frontline® Top Spot®. It contains the same active ingredient, fipronil, as Frontline® Top Spot® and protects pets for 30 days against pesky fleas and ticks. PetArmor® comes in an easy-to-use, squeeze on applicator and is waterproof after 24 hours of application. Not only does PetArmor® kill fleas and ticks, but it also kills chewing lice and controls mites that may cause sarcoptic mange.

For:

Dogs and puppies (8 weeks of age and older), Cats and kittens (8 weeks of age and older)

Benefits:
  • Kills adult fleas and chewing lice just like Frontline® Top Spot®
  • Kills 4 different types of ticks including the Deer tick which can carry Lyme disease
  • Each application provides 30 days of protection
  • Controls mites that may cause sarcoptic mange
  • Easy-to-use, squeeze on application
  • Specifically formulated for your pet's weight
  • Waterproof
How it Works:

Just like Frontline® Top Spot®, PetArmor® is specifically formulated to kill fleas and ticks per your pet's weight. So picking the right package is important in getting complete protection for your pet. The main ingredient fipronil, also found in Frontline® Top Spot®, is a broad-spectrum insecticide that disrupts the central nervous system of fleas and ticks. Once PetArmor® is applied, the fipronil spreads by a process called translocation. It is gradually spread by your pet's natural oils, accumulating in the oil glands and absorbed into the hair and skin. It then kills adult fleas and ticks within 24 hours. PetArmor® works best when your pet's skin is in optimal condition.

Cautions:

For external use only. Do not use PetArmor® on Rabbits or other animals. Use only one pipette per application and do not reapply sooner than 4 weeks. Keep out of reach of children.

PetArmor - Generic To Frontline Top Spot is rated 2.3951 out of 5 by 162.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't work and will never use it or waste my money on it again
Date published: 2016-03-22
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy With This Product I bought this for my dog Gis because of the active ingredient Firprinil. Other flea/tick products indicate that they are toxic to cats and I have two cats, one who plays with Gus regularly. I live in Upstate New York where there is unfortunately no shortage of ticks, especially those that carry Lyme. I have found 2 ticks on Gus since we started this product. One had not yet attached itself, but one had but I observed him closely for weeks after for any changes in behavior or signs of being lathargic, but fortunately none of this happened. I recommend PetArmor as being an effective and affordable product.

What stops Misquito bites?

Here in Alaska we rarely have ticks and fleas, but we do have a huge amount of mosquitos. So my question is what will work to keep the animals from being bitten by the misquitos?
Asked by: Anonymous
Very dangerous because heart worms...Make sure you give them heart worm med...My concern is most flea meds is for flea and ticks but you can do this: mosquitoes are easily repelled by the scent of lemon or other citrus juices? If you’re looking for one of the most natural ways to keep mosquitoes away from your pets, try slicing a lemon. There are two main ways you can use this tart fruit to protect your dog or cat. Slice a lemon, lime or grapefruit and rub it directly on your pet’s fur. Be sure to avoid the eyes and any open cuts as the acid in the fruit can sting and be painful. Citrus is nontoxic to dogs, so there’s no harm in your pet licking its fur or other areas after the citrus juice has been applied. You also could make a spray from the lemon juice that can easily be applied to your dog’s body. Bring six lemons, or any other mix of citrus, and a quart of water to a boil. Let it steep for at least an hour. Once it cools, pour it into a spray bottle. Be sure to strain it so the pulp doesn’t clog your spray bottle.
