I've read all the reviews and all are spot on as to the effectiveness of Nutrical except for the one so so review. For over the 25yrs. that I've been using this product it has literally brought near death cats/dogs back to the point where the real medications can take over. I have mixed this with distilled water slowly doing very little amounts eyedropped it into animals over several hours that didn't have the strength to lick it up. You don't want to drown, choke, or overwhelm such a depressed system. I have had more animals come back to the point of being able to get the medications they need into them then losing animals. This can be upsetting to the stomach also after awhile, so once the animal is 75% back to healthy, I usually wean them off it, keep an eye on their condition for a week or so. Then use again only if it looks as if the animal is backsliding. When they can lick it, or out right eat it plain(i've never had a concious animal turn it down# I usually give with some sort of plain food that is soothing to the stomach. Wish they had something like this for my horses if they ever got sick. Its also great for any dog that works hard. My oldest cat #16yrs)comes running when I go to the closet where I keep the Nutrical. I split his daily dose in half am/pm. Can not say enough about this product.

Talk to vet first!
After a routine physical, the vet stated my older cat was losing weight, and to try different high calorie food. He didnt have any problems with his blood work. I bought this nutri cal, to supplement his diet, and give him some extra vitamins. He loved the flavor and licked a little off my finger each day. However, after a couple months, my cat had additional blood work. His blood sugar levels were dangerously high. The main ingredient in this product is high fructose corn syrup, and this significantly affected his blood sugar. This product might be good in special, vet monitored, short term situations. Do no use over a long period of time, without monitoring the side effects.

Nutri-Cal
I have been trying to give my calico cat cali she would not take anything I have tired. She would never took it so i decided to try to use the nutri-cal an i was so suprised to cali taking the nutri-cal all i to do is put it on her paw and she licked off and wanted more. I really love Nutri-Cal and now my cali can have Vitamins vitimains and now I can keep her healthly. Now her daughter sadee would take anything but she loves the nutri- cal too I would recommend this product to any one who has a picky cat that will not take any Vitamins the nutri-cal is the best to use

Great Stuff
My dog had surgery after I got her from a rescue. She was weak, had a kennel cough and weighed 4 lbs. I gave her the Nutrical and she was up and running in no time. She was also not eating any food but for some reason she enjoyed this paste which smelled horrid but would lick it off my fingers. I saw immediate results in her after taking this product.

I use Nurta Cal for my stockdogs once a day . It keeps engery up for the long distance our ranch dogs have to travel. Also keeps the energy for running at cattle trials. We start our pups on it before they are weined off their mom. Tuf Stockdogs thank you for job well done.

He takes 3 blood pressure/heart rate meds 2x's a day, also. without the xanax he does not eat a good dinner. he DOES NOT NEED to gain weight. He also takes two different water pills twice a day to prevent congestive heart failures episodes. If not this product, can you suggest another, non-addictive product?

Our Breeder recommended this vitamin and our puppy has been having the vitamin every day. I realize the vitamin has extra calories and am worried that the puppy may not need this now that she is 6 months old.

AnswersAnswer:Â I am not a vet, and don't profess to be one in any way. Just have personal experience with this product. First have cat checked for any health problems, if that has been done ask your vet what he/she thinks is best. Your cat may just need a plain hairball remedy and no extra supplements to boost his system. I give Nutrical daily to my 16yr old cat. But I split his total daily dose into two 1/2 doses 1/2am and 1/2pm. I would suggest(i'm not advising) that when your cat starts eating again you could give him a 1/2 dose daily or even a 1/4 dose daily. See if that regulates him to eat without getting picky or going off his food. Let your cat guide you as to what is a good balance. The less you need to give the better.
She gave birth about 2 weeks ago n i have been giving it toher 3 times a day for a week. As the vet told me to.She is a bull terrier.
