Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet is an exceptionally pure, fresh source of the important Omega-3 fatty acids. It comes in an easy to administer capsule without a strong fishy smell or taste. Omega-3 fatty acids support healthy cells, skin and coat, joints, heart, brain, eyes and energy levels for your dog. Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet is an Omega-3 fatty acid supplement, providing your dog with the most important Omega-3 fatty acids-EPA and DHA. Each soft gel contains 1000mg of fish oil with 310mg of Omega-3-90mg DHA and 150mg EPA. Omega-3 fatty acids promote pet health by supporting optimal cell health, heart and circulatory health, skin and coat health, brain development and maintenance, moisture retention in the skin, eye development and maintenance, joint health and immune health. Omega-3 Pet contains no artificial colors or flavors. Omega-3 Pet fatty acid is 100% natural triglyceride form.

Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet is a non-prescription (OTC) product for use in dogs.

How should this product be used:
The suggested daily dose of Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet is one capsule for every 20 lbs of body weight. Larger dogs, add soft gel to food. Smaller dogs puncture the soft gel and apply oil directly onto food or serve by itself.

Soft Coat I've been giving my 10yr Chihuahua the Nordic Naturals Omega-3 for about a month and he has a smooth, soft coat now. He will eat anythign put in front of him so smell and taste is not an issue for him. I would only recommend that a smaller pill is made to provide small dogs as opposed to having to pierce the pill and spread the Omega-3 on food. Other than that we are pleased with the results. 03/31/2011

Amazing Our Brittany had dry skin, dry dull coat and was shedding massively. Within 3 weeks of using Omega-3 daily I cannot believe the improvement! Her coat is back to shiny, soft and beautiful. And, it has alleviated about 90% of her shedding. I will never stop using this product. 04/10/2013

Seems to help medical condition. My dog has been taking another fish oil product for some time. Our vet had suggested it to us as a possible help to a chronic gagging or like clearing the throat condition our dog has had due to some kind of weakness, it seemed to help some so we have used it for some time. So far our dog seems to be doing even better with this Nordic Naturals Omega 3., because of this, I and another family member am very happy with this product. 10/19/2012

Excellent Product! I have a 12 1/2 year old Chinese Shar Pei with terrible skin. I started her on the Omega and what a change (her vet even commented on how great her skin and fur is now). She has a terrible stomach and somehow tolerates this with no problem. If your dog has any skin problems or fur is not shiny - I highly recommend you trying this. Best thing I ever did for her! 08/24/2012

What is the difference of super omega 3 and Nordic omega 3? I have a hairless dog that gets zits and blackheads. Would one of these products help?

How much vitamin E is contained within each capsule. I understand 800 IU need to be taken with fish oil ?

My dog is 77 lbs and 12 years old. Fish oil needs to be taken in combination with vit. E but your label does not say specifically how much it contains, only that it is used as a preservative.

Is Omega 3 given to diabetic dogs ?

Our dog is a rat terrier, 13 yrs. old/w cancer and arthritis (has been taking Vetprofen 75 mg. for about 6 mos. to help her pains, but the vet hospital has doubled the price and we are trying to find a good, cheaper med for her. I see that the generic that fits the present med is not for diabetic dogs. Will Omega 3 help her; it not, do you have something better? Appreciate your help. Thanks.

Sorry, I don't have the knowledge to properly answer that question, but I have a suggestion that might help your dog.;
if it were my beloved dog that had cancer besides trying to follow my Vets instructions I would give the dog Samento. I don't sell the product; I just really believe that it might help some with cancer.

In regards to your dogs arthritis:
it certainly depends on the dogs situation.

My dog has arthritis and is on a similar expensive pain drug from the vet. but I think she does just as well if not better on a joint supplement (I have used Cosequin and just recently started using Jointagen), Nordic Omega 3 fish oil , and also daily muscle rubs in the painful areas to move oxygen around and daily exercise. The next thing I intend to try for her is Glutathione for all over health, including pain. Good luck, I hope I helped some.

Omega 3 will definitely help complement vetprofen or work great alone. glucosamine ans chondroitin is also great but as with any supplement you would need to pass it by your vet so your Furry Friend does not have any unforseen complications due to be diabetic. Also you mentioned vetprofen not sure if your aware but we do carry Novox which is the same thing. The price should be definitely reasonable. :)
