Great for the picky cat, who will not eat due to smell. These Omega's do not have that overbearing fishy smell that most Omega's have. I poke a small hole into the capsule and apply the oil to her food. She refused to take others I have tried. Great for her skin and coat.
However, the personal experience was, when I tried to give to the cat in the food, he wouldn't have it, i believe the pill is too big for an average size cat, I am sure they are great vitamins but I like to see something easier for cats to swallow....I gave these vitamins to my neighbors (she has a medium size dog) Thanks
I tried this for my 6 year old westie who has skin problems every august. been giving to him for 2+weeks and see no difference in his skin or anything else.
Our Pug was test for allergies almost 2 yrs. ago (a $600 dollar test!) And was put on an antibiotic and a cortisone for 10 days, then long term he had to take Cyclosporine (a bad drug for both humans and dogs). None of this changed the scratching and painful hot spots. We gradually took him off the Cyclosporine and added a weekly flea med plus Nordic Omega-3 (after reading an article about it). Our pup is scratch-free with a beautiful coat and skin! No more hot spots, no more pain and suffering for our Pug son!!! We love this product and recommend it highly!! Our dog seems to be fine with the taste and poking the capsule with a needle andsquirting it on his food is a small enough ritual for the happiness of our special boy!!
My 3 year old dog has elbow dyplasia in both front legs (diagnised at around 1 year by xrays). He has been on a daily routine of glucosamine/condroiton and Omega 3 pills. I tried this product after the Omega 3 pills my dog was prescribed by his vet were discontinued by the manuafacturer. I had tried one other brand before this one and found it not very beneficial as he became lame again. After giving him the Nordic Omega 3 pills, his inflammation has been under control. We have used these for the past 4 months and have had great success. Thank you.
If your cat weighs less than 20 lbs the dose is 1 capsule every day. Should you forget to give the supplement on a given day just give a single dose when the next regular dose is due. DO NOT double the dose.
