Excellent! This stuff (Nectadyn) is amazing. One dose and my Cocker stopped coughing. I had tried a number of other medications but nothing worked. Worth every penny. 02/28/2012
Unusable I was unable to get him to take the medication. He doesn't like it. I put it on his dry and directly into his mouth. He spits it out. Was a waste of my time and money. Even had to purchase liquid hypo to get it into his mouth. Product does not include dropper/hypo. 02/11/2012
EFFECTIVENESS First time I tried this product. She was coughing for 3 weeks at nigh time & as soon as I gave her the syrup I could see the difference. It only lasted 3 days & everything was fine. Very effective & luv it. 10/14/2011
It works! My husband's 9 year old pit had started coughing. He tried a lot of cough medicines, nothing worked. With Nectadyn he is know longer coughing. 03/31/2011
Cough Medicine Nectadyn I ended up not giving my cat this product. First of all had I known it was for humans I would have gone to the drug store and bought it for half the price. Then when I opened it there was nothing in the box to administer it with. I expected a dropper. Tell me how you would give this to a cat in a spoon ? ? ? I felt betrayed and frustrated. I thought you had medicines for especially made for animals. I am very disappointed. 01/25/2011

A:
Convenia is an injectable antibiotic. Its main benefit is that 1 injection is equivalent to 14 days of oral antibiotics. Basically, you are paying a premium for the benefit of not having to give oral antibiotics to your pet everyday during the treatment.

Nectadyn is not a treatment for asthma. Nectadyn contains a mucolytic agent which helps dissolve thick mucus and works as an expectorant. It helps temporarily relieve wet and dry cough due to cold, flu, chest congestion, bronchitis, and environmental irritants. If your pet is suffering from asthma please consult your veterinarian for proper treatment.
