Mita clear has always worked for my cats. Be really careful if dosen't work for your cat, cause the systoms for a ear infection are nearly the same for mites. Only your vet will know for sure. 02/11/2013
Had high hopes.. I have a pug and he has had ear mites for a while now. This product worked for about 4 days and then instantly the ear mites all came back and it seems even worse. I have been a 1800petmeds customer for a couple years and had high hopes for this product but sadly was displeased. 02/07/2013
YOU HAVE TO WORK AT IT My cat's have had ear mites for about 3 months now. The vet prescribed this stuff to us and gave me no directions on it except put a few drops in there ears and massage in twice a week. After a few weeks I was in tears because I felt horrible about torturing my cats with this stuff. I talked with a friend and she said to clean them out first. It started to make a difference almost over night. So make sure you CLEAN THEM OUT as best as possible with a low ph ear cleaner THEN LET DRY just before applying medication. I turn the bottle of cleaner down in their ears and squeeze a good amount until their ears are wet, then let them shake, then use cotton balls and q-tips to clean all the gunk out (just don't shove them too far down the ear). Also, it wouldn't hurt to try using anti-flea drops that also work on mites (such as revolution) with the mite drops. That is if you can afford it. 04/20/2012
GREAT! We have only done one weekly treatment and have already seen amazing results! The cat had been itching his ears so bad they were all dug up and missing fur. Within the last week, he has stopped his itching and his ears are healing! Putting medicine in a cat's ear is never 'easy' but it was not that hard either. We wrap him in a towel so we are not getting scratched and the second person put the medicine in and massaged the ear. I did not notice a strong odor at all. 03/12/2012
Noxious Fumes The noxious fumes made my and the cats eyes water and burn. I didn't have the heart to do that to him a second time. The smell stayed in his ears for more than a week. The mites seemed to die off gradually and slowly but they aren't gone yet. The cat is semi wild and just recently came to live with me and I will have to wait to even do anything like that to him for a while or he may never trust me enough. I am going to try a natural remedy before I try anything like this again. I've seen pharmaceuticals have a lot of negative affects on people including myself and have heard they are sometimes fatal to cats even when used as directed. I'm glad I only had to do one treatment to get these mites under some control and he is not being bothered nearly as much as he was by his ears. 02/10/2012

Answer:
The exact dose either on the package, or what you vet recommends. Pet Meds are really advanced these days, and if you give em to much, you might be lucky if they only get sick.

Answer:
It takes a few days or more for any results. If it gets worse see your vet, cause it may not be mites. Even different breeds take different time frames.

Answer:
If the pet has ear mites, Mita Clear should begin to work fairly rapidly. Using the product as directed, the pet's ear should be cleared within 2 weeks.

I usually bathe him on a regular basis (once every other week) but the directions didn't mention a time period of how long I should wait to bathe him.

Answer:
Mita-Clear is not used to prevent ear mite infections. It is used to treat an ear mite infection. Ear mite infections are usually seen as a dark red or black ooze coming from the pet's ears. You may want to consider using 1-800-PetMeds Ear Cleansing Solution. This should help keep the ears clean if there is no ear mite infection.
