My 12 y/o neutered male cat was found on ultrasound to have a 2.0 mm stone in his bladder. He absolutely refused to eat CD wet or dry but loved the Methigel and licked it off a plate. The best part is that after 6 weeks, repeat x-rays showed the stone had dissolved and was GONE. Yes, it was a small stone and Methigel wouldn't help dissolve a larger stone but this was a huge relief for both of us and we'll continue it to ensure his bladder health.
my cat had FLUTD and was in the Emergency for 4 days last month, he was unblocked with a catheter and is still having problems going to the bathroom (urinating) I bought this item becuz the reviews seemed Hoepful. But it doesnt work at all for him... I feel bad for my cat becuz nothing is helping him at all!! Im not sure if this would help your pet but i wouldnt recommend it, WAS NOT GOOD FOR MY PET.
Methigel Urinary Acidfier worked great. Hazel, my femaie cat took it with no problem, I just put it on her wet food in the morning. She seems fine now. Great product.
Love PetMeds, the product came quick and with a dog bone for the neighbor dog. Only thing my cat wont touch this stuff. I cant even hide it in his food...picky thing...but I love him so much.
HELP MY DOG TO WANT TO USE THE RESTROOM AGAIN AND RELIEVED THE PAIN UNTIL THE INFECTION WAS CLEAR AND THE PAIN WENT AWAY USED FOR FEW WEEKS WORK WONDERS
Only under the supervision of a vetinarian. If the urine ph gets too low, it can create calcium oxilate stones so monitoring ph level while using this product is my advice and your vet can help you with that.

Take him/her to your vet for urine test, especially if it's a male cat. If he get's blocked, it can be very serious and expensive !! Is your cat urinating outside of litterbox or hiding? These are a couple of signs of UT infections. If caught early enough, usually antibiotic is all that is needed. If the problem continues to happen you may have to go to a prescription food.
This product has been discontinued and is no longer orderable. Sorry for the inconvenience. The alternative is Methio-Form 500 Mg 150 Tab Btl #10486 $27.99 (rx required)
