1-800-PetMeds Liver Plus For Dogs and Cats provides support for liver function if compromised. Liver Plus is an enteric coated tablet containing S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe) as the primary ingredient for liver problems. Liver Plus helps liver health by:
  • increasing glutathione levels for safe detoxification of body wastes
  • protecting liver cells from cell death
  • possibly repairing and healing cells

What is this product used for:
1-800-PetMeds Liver Plus is a nutritional supplement used for liver support when liver function may be compromised.

Availability:
1-800-PetMeds Liver Plus is a non-prescription (OTC) product available as 90mg enteric coated tablets for small dogs and cats, 225mg enteric coated tablets for medium dogs and 425mg enteric coated tablets for large dogs.

How this product should be used:
For small dogs and cats up to 12 lbs give one 90mg tablet daily. For medium dogs 13-34 lbs give one 225mg tablet daily. For large dogs 35-65 lbs give one 425mg tablet daily, for large dogs 66-120 lbs give two 425mg tablets daily and for large dogs over 121 lbs give three 425mg tablets daily. For best results, give on an empty stomach one hour prior to feeding. If giving more than 1 tablet per day, divide the daily amount between morning and evening.

What are the side effects:
There are no reported side effects.

What special precautions are there:
For animal use only. Give 1-800-PetMeds Liver Plus tablets on an empty stomach 1 hour prior to feeding. Do not crush or break tablets as this damages the enteric coating and this inhibits absorption. Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. If animal’s condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration and consult your veterinarian.

In the event of overdose:
Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.

How should I store this product:
Do not remove tablets from blister pack until used.. Store in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate. Keep out of the reach of children and other animals.
