How it works: The active ingredients include glucosamine and chondroitin. Glucosamine is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Many believe that it provides clinical benefit in the synovial fluid by strengthening cartilage and aiding glycosaminoglycan synthesis. Further research on the effectiveness of glucosamine is still needed, but many of our customers find it to be very beneficial to their pets. Joint Enhancer for Dogs also contains Vitamin C, Vitamin E, selenium, and bioflavonoids which have antioxidant effects.
Cautions: Side effects are rare, but may include diarrhea.

I read the reviews before purchasing the Joint Enhancer for dogs and decided to give it a try. I expected to eventually see some improvement in my dog's joints and ability to move, but was I surprised! After one week I could definitely see an improvement and now two weeks in most of her limp is gone. Great product. Oh yeah, she loves the flavor.
We have an 11 yr old siberian husky who was starting to have hip/limping issues on her right side. A friend recommended this product and sure enough, she is limp-free,even after hiking. Mind you, it does take awhile; give it at least 6-8 weeks. But it does work. Zoe is thrilled to be back on the trails again.
My 11 year old cocker spaniel has been on Joint Enhancer for 1 month and I haven't seen any change in her stiffness/limping. I will wait another month before trying something else.
The opinions about this product's benefits are from our customers. They have not been evaluated by the FDA, and this product is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
I've tried giving it to her by itself, mixed in something. Apparently she can smell it because she won't eat if I put it in something. Any suggestions. She's 9 years old and needs it.

Look at all the different products they sell. Try a different one or call them for a recommendation.
Joint Enhancer should not cause excessive urination. However, if your pet is diabetic, you need to monitor the pet's blood glucose more often. Elevated blood glucose can cause excessive thirst, as well as increased urination.
I do not know what chondroitin does. My dog is on Rymadil. Is chondroitin an added Rymadil type medicine so that this medicine poses too much of that type for my 53 pound Border Collie?

not a direct answer but Rymadil did not work for my 85 lb German Shepard and had side effects so it was one of many pricey remedies that we tried without success and then we tried the joint enhancer and it works better than anything else. My dog is not cured and still shows signs of pain from hip dysplasia but for my 6 yr old shepard it is the best solution that we have found
