Cautions:

More Information:
Brand Name Skin & Itch (HomeoPet)
What is this product used for: Atopy or other allergic condition. Constant, chronic scratching, itching and chewing. Grass, pollen and house dust allergies, airborne allergies, and seasonal allergies.
Availability: HomeoPet Skin & Itch is a non prescription (OTC) product
How this product should be used: For pets under 20 lbs, use 5 drops, 3 times daily; for pets 21-60 lbs, use 10 drops, 3 times daily; for pets 61-100 lbs, use 15 drops, 3 times daily; for pets over 100 lbs, use 20 drops, 3 times daily. For pets weighing under 1 lb, use 1 or 2 drops diluted in drinking water 1 time a day.
In acute cases (those with sudden onset), the doses can be given every 15 minutes, up to 4 doses. For cases that are not acute (chronic, long term problems), one dose 3 times daily.
Once a response is seen, administration should be reduced to 2 times daily and eventually once daily. If reduction causes symptoms to worsen, original dosing may be continued a little longer before reducing. If a remedy is working well and dosing is not reduced, an aggravation of symptoms from overuse may occur. Stopping the remedy for 3 days will reverse the symptoms, and then treatment can begin as if using for the first time, weaning down as mentioned above.
What are the side effects: There are no known side effects.
What special precautions are there: Overdosage will result in a return of symptoms after the symptoms have initially disappeared. Where either increased anxiety or a return of symptoms occurs while on the medication, ceasing to use it will alleviate the effect. Patients who are hypersensitive to homeopathic preparations will show response to a single dose, which may not need to be repeated for some time. For this reason therapy should always start with a single dose and should a major response be seen, therapy should not be recommenced until symptoms relapse, and then only a single dose given for maximum effect. Although there is no evidence that there are any safety issues, extra care should always be taken when dealing with pregnant animals.
In the event of overdose: Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.
How should I store this product: Store at controlled room temperature.

Disappointed
I have been giving this to help my "Rocky" (American Shorthair Tabby Cat) with his itching and scratching but he's not any better. I think I'm going to change his cat food. I think that may be the problem. He may be allergic to this one I'm giving him. I read the reviews for this product and I had high hopes it would help but I'm disappointed and I know "Rocky" is too.

getting her to drink a lot of water is hard. can i mix this in her food. will she smell it or taste it. she wont eat it if she smells something different.
IT probably will not help. Think about it --- you take something by mouth into the stomach and it's supposed to help a skin problem on the outside. It did not help my dogs itchy spot that he kept licking at.
Nel, the homeo pet skin and itch relief HomeoPet Skin would work really well and another product you may also want to try in conjunction with this is the Be soothed which is a tea tree oil spray that you can find here:
