LOVE LOVE LOVE!
I love the quality of this food although it is more expensive the what I was feeding my dog before I am way happier with the quality. My dog is a picky eater and she eats this food without a problem. She loves it! I love the size of the kibble for small dogs because it is easier for her to chew. I would highly recommend this food!

They LOVE Halo
I have been feeding my 4 year old Cairn Terrier Halo for about 3 years, having switched from another brand. She loves it. Then I adopted a 7 year old Cairn a few months ago and transitioned her to Halo with no issues and she had been on another food for 7 years. I mix a teaspoon of canned with the dry and honestly they don't take their heads out of their bowls until everything is gone! We are all extremely satisfied (especially the girls).

Booger and Halo
Booger adopted us about 3 mos. ago and is a small breed mix. I wasn't happy looking at ingredients of dry dog food so I called my daughter, a veterinarian, and asked her what she recommended. She gave me 3-4 names and Halo was one. Booger loves it, hasn't had any bad reactions to it and I found it wasn't horribly expensive,

MADE IN USA ONLY FOR ME!!!
I've been searching high and low for Made in America, organic and healthy products for my small-mix dog. She rescued me about 2 years ago and I'm not sure her age, maybe about 5(?). I finally decided to try this product. I wanted a high protein product and this seems to be the right choice. MY DOG LOVES THIS FOOD. So far, so good. I'm ordering again with a coupon. I also use the Halo liquid vitamin.

Good food but lacks meat
I tried Halo with my 2 Dachshunds and ended up having to switch to another brand. I switched to Orijen. They both had very loose watery stools even with proper food transitioning on Halo. After having researched the food more I found out that it doesn't contain much meat at all. It's more of a vegetarian diet. It does list chicken as the first ingredient however whole meats are mostly 70% water and only 12% protein so in reality the chicken is actually further down on the ingredient list. Ingredients are listed on pet food packaging in order of predominance before they are cooked which sometimes fools the consumer who may not know that. Halo lacks meat which dogs need protein from. Halo says it doesn't contain meat meals, however meat meal contains a lot of protein where as just meat doesn't. Meat Meal is highly concentrated meat that is dehydrated, containing 5% moisture and 70% protein. Most people think meat meal is bad when in reality it's a good thing. Halo is a great food and healthy, but there's better out there for the price. I would recommend the food for smaller breeds, but not large who need a lot of meat protein. If Halo added more meat content then it would be almost perfect.

Our 12 year old lab/husky is not overweight-- We're concerned to help his arthritis in knees through his food source--recommended by our vet to do this. Now using Purina Joint Mobility adult food.
