Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff My female Golden Retriever has a boatload of environmental allergy issues including dust mites. We have tried everything. She wakes up in the morning scratching so bad she cannot even walk to the door to go potty. I spray Genesis on my hand and rub it in. She stops scratching immediately! Best stuff I have found including homemade recipes. Well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is amazing! My GWP, 75 lbs and 12 years old developed allergies last year. Her symptoms were extremely itchy skin and crusty spots on her torso. Vet immediately prescribed predisone. Within two weeks of weaning her off the symptoms would return. We went through this 3 times. Then the Vet prescribed the Genesis Topical Spray. It really worked like a miracle! This year she had the itchy symptoms again. I discussed skipping the oral steroids and going straight to the Genesis with my Vet. He said to go ahead and try it. Again, immediate relief for my dog! Just to clarify, My dog has food allergies and environmental allergies, confirmed with blood allergy tests. We regulated her food allergies with a diet change. She had been symptom free until the springtime allergy season. The symptoms of itchy skin she is displaying this year are the environmental allergies. This spray is wonderful! She was so miserable and now has relief!

Why Gloves

Why do people have to wear gloves when applying this medicine but it's okay for the animal? What are the dangers that this product poses to the human applying the spray?
Asked by: Anonymous
Wearing gloves is to prevent you from accidentally absorbing any of the active ingredient. This medication has been prescribed under the directions of your veterinarian and he/she knows your pet's medical history. Accidental dosage of humans without first consulting your own physician could lead to potential side effects or interactions with other medications you may already be taking (such as other steroids or immunosuppressants) or potential problems with current medical conditions you may have (such as any form of infection).

Can you spray this in between a dog's paws/toes?

My dog has allergies in between her paws and they are flaring up. Can this be sprayed in between her paws--or will the moisture being trapped in between them be bad for her?

Genesis Topical Spray

Does this product cause dry skin? My 50-lb pit bull sweetie has very bad environmental allergies and I have been using Genesis from the vet; but she has developed a really bad case of "dandruff". Vet recommended Flax Seed Oil pills but they are not helping. Also, there are so many different answers regarding how long you can safely use this product .... one month only or as long as needed.
Asked by: Anonymous
My dog had similar issues. Tried numerous highly rated shampoos ( Emu Oil , Aloe , Oatmeal , etc. Nothing worked ... so I experimented with my own shampoo ( Head & Shoulders Medicated ) and voila ... No more flaking or itching.. No unpleasant odors or whimpering from too harsh liquid combos

Genesis Topical Spray

Does exposing Genesis spray to excessive heat negate the effects of the spray? It was left in a car in the deep south for several days.
Asked by: Anonymous
Exposure to high temperatures could break down the chemical bonds of the ingredients.
