According to the reviews I was very hopeful, but this product did not help my cat. He wasn't too happy about the taste, but wrapped in a bit of sliced turkey breast he ate it. His diarrhea did not subside, but that does not mean it doesn't work; it just did not work for my kitty.
I ordered this product after reading petmed reviews and am so happy I ordered! I have a 3 year old Goldendoodle and he has had several belly issues since he was a puppy. Lots of vet visits and xrays taken to see if he has eaten something he's not supposed to eat. Yes, he does like to eat some strange things, but this helps it get through his system and within 12-24hrs he is back to his old self. I would like to say that if you do not see results after 24 hrs, then a vet visit is going to be needed. Thank you Petmeds for carrying such a great product!
My cocker spaniel Splash used to get explosive diarrhea from certain foods and when she would get ahold of the pea pods from the neighbors tree. I used to use pepto bismal or kaopectate but that wouldn't work very well. Then my vet gave her Fast Balance and it worked great. Through Pet Meds I saw that it was half the price of what the vet charged. Thanks to Pet Meds and Fast balance whenever Splash has stomach problems all I have to do is squirt it on her food or just onto the floor where she licks every last drop up, within three days she is back to normal. Great product, great results. And my cats like it also.
So I really don't know how effective it could have been....he will not go near it. I can't force him to take it by trying to shove it in his mouth. That doesn't work. Also, I can't disguise it by putting it in canned food because he won't eat canned food. I feel badly for him and for me, too, since I wasted money....
My boxer (60.5 lbs) has food allergies, we know she is allergic to grain, red food color, preservatives, etc. We haven't had the allergy test run yet ($500 at the Vet), but we've been lucky enough to find good food and this Fast Balance GI is awesome...worked better than Pepto Bismol which we usually use. We usually give our dog yogurt in the morning and then within the hour feed her normal meal. But when her stomach acids are rumbling she won't eat. I tried the 20 cc of the Fast Balance - G.I. and put it in her mouth, she ate it and within minutes she was ready to eat her meal. This worked faster than anything I've tried. I am ordering more to have on hand for the next time she has problems. We only had to use 20 cc and the problem was gone. Highly Recommended!
If your pet is having problems with soft stools or diarrhea, then yes. Using a product such as Fast Balance-G.I. might help. Fast Balance-G.I. keeps the gut healthy which can, in turn, firm up the stool and help prevent anal sac problems.
I have a dog with a post-surgical MSRA and pseudomonas infection (sub-cutaneous). She will be on doxycycline and Cipro for a least 1month, maybe 2. I'm concerned about what this will do to her gut flora and am looking for a good supplemental probiotic for her.
Good for you. Long term antibiotic therapy can have a negative affect on the intestinal tract. Giving a probiotic such as Fast Balance-G.I. to your pet in order to maintain a healthy gut is the right thing to do.
WHAT SHOULD BE THE SUGGESTED DIET FOR MY CAT WHILE TAKING THIS SPECIFIC MEDICINE?WHAT SHOULD/SHOULD I NOT FEED HER WHILE ON THE MEDICINES,ALSO SHE JUST HAD HER FIRST LITTER OF KITTENS 4/11/2011 JUST IN CASE THAT INFO CAN SHED SOME LIGHT ON THINGS.THANK YOU!
My dog gets an upset stomach around bedtime and then is in and out many times during the night. Doesn't happen all the time, maybe once a week. Should I give it to him every day anyway or just when this happens?
It usually starts working within a hour. It wouldn't hurt to give your pet a little bit everyday. Or you can just give it to him when you see symptoms arising.
The first vet is totally stumped. He first wormed him, then put him on antibiotics, and is still giving him weekly b-12 shots & anti-anxiety meds. He says it could be food allergies, yet I KNOW my boy is on the nervous side & we give him all natural hi-protien, lo-carb, foods, per the 2nd vets recommendations. I do believe it is more his nerves that causes the severe, water-type diahreah, as his nose runs when he gets anxious and I can count on very runny or water type stools. The other (2nd opinion) vet says she is stumped as well. Thanks for both of your input folks! I went ahead & got 3 of the large syringes of this product but it has not helped--yet. I'll continue doing research & trying different things I guess. ANYONE ELSE WITH SOME INFO PLEASE LET ME KNOW, Thanks all!

Our cairn terrier was sick as anything, and eventualy we had his stomache, intestines and bowels biopsied ($4000) - nothing. I give him a teaspoon of yogurt with every meal. When he gets vomity, I squirt a syrngeful of yogurt into him once or twice a day - nothing else. Within a day he is back to being hungry and eating. Yogurt must be plain or greek.
