Hydrocortisone Spray I used it one time and it cured the problem. My cat stop itching and her back is healing. I spoke with the vet and was instructed to use no more than one time per month so my recommendation is to confirm with your vet. I highly recommend the product. 03/21/2011
Works great! My cat had a large hairless area on her belly from biting and licking. She's mostly an outdoor cat, and the fleas in Hawaii never give up. Used this on the area for a few days, and she's now scratching and biting less and the hair has almost all regrown. This worked great! 07/17/2014
My poor kitty has a flea allergy and had two nasty bare spots on his back that were inflamed. I've been using the Excel Hydrocorisone Spray for only a couple of days and it's clearing up beautifully. When I pull the bottle out and show it to him he comes over to me to get sprayed...he seems to know it's helping him. 07/07/2014
Relieved intense itching of spot on tail My dog had an area on his tail that he would constantly lick and scratch. This resulted in a 2-inch long raw, reddish area on his tail with hair loss in the affected area. After using this spray, his itching drastically subsided after a few days, and now his hair is growing back. I have not witnessed him licking or scratching this area since. I like the spray because, in my case, it was the most effective way to apply the product (as opposed to a cream, which he has refused to allow me to apply). Good luck!! 07/04/2014
Clear Skin So far, this product has worked just as described. My dog has seborrhea and uses a medicated shampoo from the vet. I had been bathing him with it once a week and he continued to develop scaly patches and was constantly scratching himself. After using the hydrocortisone spray for about 3 days, the scales were gone and the itching was greatly reduced. I also purchased the Super Pure Omega 3 soft chews that I've used in conjunction with the spray. 06/22/2014

My dog is currently on Trifexis but is still itching. I am not sure if it is due to his flea allergy or other bug bites. Is there any danger in using these two products together?

I have a 7 year old beagle and she has been itching in the middle of her back for a few months and she usually starts scratching around fall/winter every year in the same spot. Gave her benedryl and it never seemed to help, took her to the vet and they gave her temporal-p which seemed to slow down the scratching but didn't stop it. Was wondering if this excel hydro spray would help. Any thoughts? (the vet did say getting her anal glands drained would help, so we did that and it did help but never stopped the itching.)

The instructions only prohibits use near eyes and mouth, so, I would assume that it would be safe to use on or near genitals.

Answer:
you should avoid mucous membranes unless a vet has recommended to use it. If you do use it
be sure to use very sparingly. Also, is there any open skin areas ? I would avoid them unless
vet says ok first. Take a look a the YUCCA intensive. It works like a steroid but is very safe and the
taste is BITTER....SO PETS DO NOT WANT TO LICK IT OFF !!
If it doesnt heal soon or gets worse, please bring the pet to a vet.

Answer:
I would suggest you try your best to prevent the pet from licking the area. Not only because he might be ingesting the medication but also because if he does lick it you won't get the benefit of applying the medication.

Answer:
It is recommended that you consult your veterinarian for the best therapy to safely alleviate your dog's symptoms due to the sensitive area in which he/she has been affected. The manufacturer warns against use in the eyes, and due to the proximity of the eyelids and difficulty of applying a spray it is not recommended for use on the eyelids.
