How this product should be used:
Wet the pet completely. Apply a sufficient amount of shampoo and massage in thoroughly. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Towel dry and comb out well.

What are the side effects:
If redness, irritation, or swelling persists or increases, discontinue use and consult veterinarian.

What special precautions are there:
For veterinary use only. Do not use in the eyes or nose. Do not use where infection (pus) is present.

Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.

Store this product at room temperature. Keep out of the reach of children.

Dogs/Cats:	All weights	Wet the pet completely. Apply a sufficient amount of shampoo and massage in thoroughly to develop a rich lather. Leave on for at least 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Towel dry and comb out well.
Horses:

Storage: Store this product at room temperature.

excel hydrocortisone shampoo this shampoo seemed to cause discomfort to my dog as if it was burning him.This product may work well for other pets but it didn't seem to agree with ours. 04/12/2012

Works Okay I find that the product is short lived because just after a hour she starts to scratch again.I also use the spray and that has the same affect. 12/15/2011

Good stuff This stuff is great!!!! I have tried everything for my beloved dog Remy. We've been to the vet numerous of times getting hydroxyzine, Benadryl injections,and tablets and nothing worked for his itching. I used this product 1 time and it gave him relief without him being drowsy. I'm very satisfied. And now I'm not so worried about the side effects of what the medication may have had on his kidneys. And he is happy and sleeping more comfortable without scratching. 11/20/2011

IT WORKS! winnie was always scratching and he is old 105 doggie years! He also has weak hind legs so it was really sad to see him scratching while trying to stay up on all fours, but after bathing him with Excel hydrocortisone shampoo I do see some relief. I would recommend this product. 10/04/2011

We do not carry that product. We do have Itchstick. I personally think this product is better.

Do you have anything that is a replacement for Relief Shampoo?

My Border Collie mix is alergic to everything: grass, dog hair, dust, you name it he is alergic to it. We have always used Relief Shampoo on him everyother week and I finally ran out and now I can't get it anymore. Do you have anything else that has replaced it? Please let me know.

It appears to me that she is itching due to an allergy. You can use hydrocortisone spray on her paws. You can also use an antihistamine such as diphenhydramine. However, you should try to determine what is causing the allergy so you can prevent further discomfort to the pet.

If the shampoo gets in the eyes or nose it can cause severe irritation. If swallowed, the medication can affect the pet's health. In all cases the veterinarian needs to be contacted.
