What is Etiderm Shampoo?

Etiderm Shampoo is a gentle antiseptic and keratoplastic (promoting the thickening of keratin, a type of protein) pet shampoo that makes for a healthier and more attractive coat. A patented encapsulation system developed by the manufacturer, Virbac, provides slow release of the ingredients long after the product is applied.

How it works:

Avoid contact with the eyes.

How this product should be used:
Shake well before using. Wet the animal¿s coat with warm water and apply sufficient shampoo to create a rich lather. Rinse and repeat. Allow to remain on hair for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly with clean water. May be used 2 to 3 times a week for 4 weeks initially, then reducing to once a week or as directed by the veterinarian.

Excellent Dog shampoo Recommended by my dog's vet because he was having dry itchy skin and lost some of his fur under neck and underarm areas. Used it once and noticed a dramatic change, less itchy and smoother coat also the irritated areas look and feel much better. A lot less scratching! The BEST part is that I noticed some of his fur is starting to already grow back 5 days later!! Doing his second bath tomorrow, vet said use twice a week for the first month. 02/08/2012

Wonderful Shampoo I use this shampoo 2 times a week on my dachshunds. They have skin allergies and applying this shampoo, leaving it on for 10 minutes works wonders. Not only does it stop the itch, but it smells great and leaves their coats so soft. I recommend it to everyone I know that has a pet. Safe enough to use every day! Great Shampoo I have a apricot poodle that has some dark places that have developed on his skin, it almost looks like mold. I use this and it seems to make it go away after a few washings.No other shampoo works on his skin problem like this does. This shampoo was recommended to me, by Texas A & M small animal clinic. Other than that, this shampoo smells wonderful, and makes his hair sooooo soft and fluffy! 11/08/2011

Best shampoo ever! I have a Morkie (half Maltese half YorkshireTerrier) who started to develop flaky dry itchy spots that became red and irritated when scratched. I brought her to the vet who prescribed Etiderm shampoo. I applied the shampoo and it made a rich lather. I then gently massaged her for 10 minutes allowing the shampoo to remain on her skin making sure not to get any on her face. It rinsed clean, smells amazing and the best part was that every flaky dry red irritated spot was gone! All with just one use. Her coat is soft, fluffy and seems to be even brighter then before. I am totally sold on this product! Best shampoo I've found and now I don't need to use a conditioner. 09/29/2011

Etiderm Shampoo Perfect for My Yorkie My little yorkie has very dry skin which can produce not only itching and discomfort for her, but a dandruff-like flakiness shows up on her dark coat. Her groomer started her on etiderm when she was just a few months old. When I moved from MO to AZ, the new groomer didn't have etiderm and used an oatmeal shampoo instead. It didn't work for Jazzy!! So, I purchase etiderm for both home and to take to the groomer. It is the ONLY shampoo that successfully controls her dry, itchy skin. It leaves her coat beautifully soft, silky and clean! 05/29/2011

Yes. Just follow the directions and rinse well. Keep the puppies away from the mother until she is rinsed and dry.

Use a shampoo that gives a soothing sensation such as oatmeal shampoos. Fish oils are a great idea they do wonders for dry flaky skin.
