What is Dog Worms 3?

PetMeds Dog Worms 3 is an FDA-approved broad spectrum de-wormer for dogs and puppies. It is the most comprehensive OTC (no prescription required) de-wormer on the market, and is used to safely control and treat the three most common worms in dogs: roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. The chewable tablets are pork liver flavored, and 2 count and 12 count packages are available.

For:

Dogs (12 weeks of age or older and over 6 lbs)

Benefits:
  • Protects your pooch by controlling and treating the most common canine intestinal worms such as roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms.
  • Comes in easy-to-administer pork liver flavored chewable tablet.
  • Flexible dosage to adapt to pet size.
  • Safe and effective.
  • FDA approved.
  • Made in the USA
How it Works:

Each Dog Worms 3 chewable tablet contains pyrantel pamoate and praziquantel. Pyrantel pamoate causes the parasite to lose grip of the intestinal wall, which makes it pass out of the system naturally. Praziquantel damages the parasite's skin internally, so the parasite disintegrates and is removed by your dog's immune system.

Cautions:

The safety of Dog Worms 3 in breeding dogs and pregnant bitches has not been determined.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally something that works! Our Dobie had a bad case of what turned out to be tapeworms. Our vet referred us to the local farm supply store where we bought a liquid wormer. Nothing. I bought this product and within 3 days, she is free and clear with no side effects at all. We couldn't be happier. We're long-time customers of PetMeds and they have never let us down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lived up to my expectations! I was counseled by the knowledgeable staff at PetMeds about this product. My vet approved it for use on our rescued Great Dane, that has had issues with multiple parasites, including heartworm. I then scoured the page to see if this product worked as well on the extra-large breeds as well as the small ones, then ordered the product. Due to the size and complications with our Dane, I decided to wait a week before offering a review to make certain the product lived up to it's claims. Why it didn't work for some folks is beyond me. If the dosing is right and the worms properly diagnosed, this medication is a no-brainer, AND EFFECTIVE!!! One dose of 3 tablets - NO MORE TAPE WORMS!!! And if she gets them back, we have extra tablets for her (or for our other dogs if necessary). GREAT PRODUCT!!! Thanks for the recommendation, Pet Meds!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peace of mind! I bought this product for my lab and corgi. I got the 12 count med. to large dog. I gave my lab 2 and my corgi just 1 as directed for their weight. The wormer appears to be doing a great job and I've seen NO side effects. I'm very pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY SAFE and effective My 18 pound pug and my 40 pound husky/border collie mix both developed minor cases of tape worms after a sudden flea infestation. We gave each of my girls one dose which definitely knocked them out. But, my border/husky decided she loved the meaty taste SO much that she climbed up the shelf and ate the 2nd dosages that were remaining for both her and the pug, all within one hour of taking the original dosage. I contacted the emergency number that comes on the pamphlet with Worms 3 where I spoke with a woman who was very helpful and assured me that the product would not cause any harm to my girl even though she gave herself quite a large dosage. Needless to say, her tape worms are gone lol. But, we saw no adverse effects from the overdose and two weeks later both of my girls are happy and healthy! I highly recommend this product as an affordable and SAFE method of treating worms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked! I was very shocked to see tapeworm segments in my dogs stool. I decided to try this product and it has been a week since I administered the medication. I have not seen anymore of the tape worm segments and my dog seems to be more relaxed and less stressed. My dog also did not have any side effects with the medication. I am very pleased with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I recently got a puppy that had not been given any worm meds and he had a terrible case. I got this product for him and it's been a week since giving it to him and still no sign of worms. He's a happier pup that's for sure. I will continue with treatment for his 10 and 12 weeks. He was dosed at 8 weeks.

Efficacy of Dewormer

I read the reviews from people who had used the dog Deworm 3 product---they all were very satisfied & said the product worked very well. I would like to know what they were basing their opinion of "worked very well" on. How did they KNOW their dogs no longer had any worms? Did they have their stools retested or anything like that? I didn't see any mention of the "proof" of the product's effectiveness….?
Asked by: Paula
My dog had tapeworm and they were literally coming out her rear end...everywhere. Nasty! After giving her the dose of wormer, she was absolutely clear. That is my only proof and it's good enough for me.

Dog Worms 3

I have 4 dogs. I saw one eating feces & checked his rear quarters and saw what looked like rice, so guessing it's tape worm. Should I treat the other 3 dogs just to be sure that they may have these worms also? I do try very hard to clean up feces in their area where they are fenced.
Asked by: CarolAnn
I have three dogs and, like you, only one had tapeworms but my vet said to go ahead and treat the other two dogs.
