What is Cosequin DS Plus MSM?

Cosequin DS Plus MSM is a delicious tasting joint supplement for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and lifestyles. Cosequin DS Plus MSM is made with higher levels of glucosamine than Cosequin DS, and also includes chondroitin, which may improve flexibility. MSM is included to relieve pain and inflammation, and also helps maintain cell health.

For:

Dogs

Benefits:
  • Supports & maintains joint and connective tissue health
  • Helps support cartilage matrix production & protects existing cartilage from breakdown
  • MSM helps maintain a healthy immune system and rejuvenates cells
  • Dogs think of each chew as a treat
  • Recommended #1 by veterinarians
  • Scored tablets simplify administering
How it Works:

Cosequin DS Plus MSM tablets contain glucosamine which helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Many believe that it provides clinical benefit in the synovial fluid by strengthening cartilage and aiding glycosaminoglycan synthesis. MSM is a sulfur compound found naturally in many foods such as cows milk, meat, seafood, and fruits and vegetables. MSM is added to joint supplements because of its effectiveness to relieve pain and inflammation of the joints. In addition, MSM also plays an important role as an antioxidant in helping to maintain healthy cells, especially in body tissue.

Cosequin DS Chewables Plus MSM is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cosoquin I have been giving this to my Golden retriever now for 6 weeks. She's 9 and was having problems climbing steps and was getting to the point where I had to lift her hind quarters for her to stand. Well the vet recommended this product and it has helped her tremendously. I would defnatley recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff really works! We have a Corgi who has problems with her joints, mainly because she's a bit overweight; but, also because she just loves to play and is constantly injuring her short little legs! We play with her a little less actively now because she was getting too excited and harming herself, and I started giving her Cosequin about 3 months ago, and after about a month, she completely stopped limping after we played with her! I started giving her two tablets a day, and now have cut back to one tablet a day. I was very skeptical when I bought this, but I was willing to give it a try since she was having so much trouble. I'm so glad that I did, because she is doing great! I highly recommend this product to any pet owner who has a dog with joint problems, because it works!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Made my dog sick Bought this about a month ago. When I gave my dog her first dose, she chewed it right up and then about 10 minutes later she started throwing up. She threw up 2 more times within the next 30 minutes, so I've never given it to her again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING STUFF! i love this so much i wrote something up on facebook about it. We thought our pit mix who was a rescue with old and severe injuries would end up with an amputated leg. The doc couldn't fix it and she refused to put it down for over a month. Rear hind quarter. It atrophied. Cosequin for 3 weeks and she is now walking on it. She has to rebuild the leg and with therapy, and she is. Without the Cosequin she would be down to 3 legs right now. I cannot sing its praises enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is a miracle drug! I have an 11 year old Australian cattle dog who was limping badly from injuring both back knees. The only thing recommended by the vet was surgery with 6 weeks recovery and no gurantees...not to mention more than $2000.00. She is a super athletic and active animal and had stopped jumping and playing altogether. She absolutely could not jump up on the sofa, so I got her a bed to keep in the living room on the floor. A friend recommended Cosaquin DS Plus, so I tried it. I was told that you have to give it a month or two in some instances, so I have been giving her a full tablet morning and evening. Several weeks ago she just started jumping up on the sofa again and is no longer limping or acting like she's in pain. AMAZING STUFF!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great results! We have an 8 year old chihuahua and we've been noticing lately she's been having trouble getting around, just slower and not as limber as she used to be. I purchased this and after one week, it's an incredible difference. My husband commented this morning how she's running faster than we've seen in a long time. We're also giving it to our Maltese as we've heard they can suffer from joint issues as they grow older. She doesn't like the taste much but we wrap it in a piece of ham and she gobbles it right up. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works so well for my dog! I have a Rottweiler with severe arthritis. One week after he started taking the tablets I saw an improvement. Now, one month later he's running and jumping around. He was only in pain a few days(because of the damp weather.

I left the bottle of Cosequin in my car accidentally for a week. It's been pretty cold out so do you think it's still okay to use? The hottest it has gotten is about 60 degrees and the coldest about 34 degrees.

Asked by: Mariss
We advise not to use the product as the manufacturer advised to store this product in room temperature.

I have a 4 year old 180lb Great Dane. He has always had trouble getting up and down, lately it seems worse. I want to start him on these tablets. Since he's such a heavy weight should we give him 6 pills which is double the "3 pills for 60+lbs..."?

Asked by: JaxBlue
I recommend starting your dog on the directed dose, 3 tablets daily for the initial 4-6 weeks. If after 4-6 weeks, your dog has not improved, speak with your veterinarian about increasing the dose.
