How it works:
When you plug Comfort Zone into an electrical socket, it emits a scent that mimics naturally reassuring pheromones. It includes D.A.P. (Dog Appeasing Pheromone), a proprietary formula that mimics the appeasing pheromones secreted by female dogs when nursing that sends a signal of comfort and safety to her puppies. When your dog senses the pheromone, he feels secure and comfortable, reducing anxious reactions and the urge to act out destructively.
Cautions:
Dont use this product with any other type of plug-in device, or place it underneath or behind furniture. When plugged in, do not touch with metal objects or wet hands.

Works great
We run three of these in the house at all times. When the dogs start waking us up at odd hours, yanking at our clothes, or "worrying" each other, we smack ourselves in the head and go check the Comfort Zone. You might not notice it's subtle effect - but you really notice when its gone! It keeps our girls safe from each other.
*This is NOT a substitute for good training and loving attention! If you rely 100% on this product, you will fail.

Didn't work for Crystal
When my dog is chewing up the house every time I leave there is nothing I won't try. This was just one more product that did not work. Not at all. Nothing. Zip. Good thing there's a Money Back Guarantee on the package. I wouldn't have tried it otherwise.

This is a life saver!!
My pit bull, Buffy is out of control. She is a rescue dog and suffers from separation anxiety. It was difficult for me to leave the room, let alone the house. This product worked like a charm. She is still a very active young adult, but much calmer and I can actually leave her for 3 hours now with no problems. I highly recommend this product vs any oral drugs.

Confort Zone for Dogs Very Poor Purchase
I would not recommend this product at all. It has done nothing to help my dogs. As far as I am concerned it was a waste of money and as I read other reviews I should have taken their advise.

Comfort Zone DAP Diffuser
This is an amazing product. the diffuser system works simply and as unobtrusively as any fragrance plug in device common to many homes. it is nearly invisible in outlets on white walls as the entire unit is white and the solution in the attached bottle clear and small. MOST IMPORTANTLY it works like a dream! My Bichon's anxiety level dropped to zero within two days. I have it near her crate and she LOVES sleeping in her crate now. indeed, she sleeps a great deal when not play ing now and is very relaxed. Given that we recently relocated from the country suburbs to the crazy center of Philadelphia her reaction to the product as compared to her behaviors post relocation are absolutely night and day for the better!

We recently rescued a westie who was a kennel stud for 3 1/2 years and he seems to hate men( me). I was thinking that putting some of the product on wrist sweat bands might help him warm up to me. I believe his aversion is due to conditions in his past life and not me, but he is totally frightened by my presence.
Robbie, the plug-in diffuser lasts approximately 30 days when left plugged in continuously. You can leave it plugged in, or just use it whenever your pets are experiencing a stressful situation.
In my opinion if a dog is a pet it should not be living outside exposed to the elements, but inside, as part of it's family, and trained/ groomed well to make that work. DAP Comfort Zone seems to work for most dogs. It would probably be unsafe to use the electrical based atomizer outside, but a DAP collar would probably bring your dog comfort as a base for behaviour modification.
Malena, the Comfort Zone for dogs is a plug-in diffuser that you would plug into the room where your dog is experiencing stress. The comforting pheremones cover an area of approximately 650 square feet, inside. You could use the Comfort Zone spray outside by spraying the product on your dog's bedding.
