What is the Cat Window Perch?

The Cat Window Perch is a unique indoor resting area your cat will love. No tools are required to assemble when you use the Velcro attachments, or it can be screwed onto a surface for a more permanent placement. The Cat Window Perch is a super soft resting area that also includes the support of orthopedic foam.
For: Cats

Benefits:
Great for all cats, but especially beneficial to arthritic or senior cats because of the orthopedic foam
Cats love the view of the outdoors
Easy to assemble
Sturdy design supports up to 40 lbs
Cover is removable for easy washing

How it works:
The Cat Window Perch is an ideal resting area for cats because it offers the outdoor view from almost any window surface. It is also beneficial for senior and arthritic cats due to the orthopedic foam, which helps with joint inflammation and stiffness.

Cautions: None

Directions (Installing Cat Window Perch):

Velcro® attachment: (For any windowsill.) Upon removing the Cat Window Perch from box, note the forward edge of the tray portion. The screw holes in the tray are to be nearest the window. Hold the tray onto desired mounting position on the windowsill and determine positioning of legs. Snap legs into position and hold up to windowsill again. Be sure the Cat Window Perch is level. If it isn't level, snap legs into another position. Once desired adjustments are made, remove tray and attach Velcro® to the raised portion on the bottom of the Cat Window Perch tray directly under the two outside screw holes. Gently set the tray down onto windowsill in the desired position. Press down firmly above the Velcro® strips to ensure proper adhesion to windowsill. For best results, wait 24 hours before using. (This gives the Velcro® adhesive optimal time for proper adhesion.)
Screw attachment: (For wood windowsills.) Remove cloth cover and foam. Use same positioning techniques as above. Once desired position is achieved, mark windowsill through the screw holes in tray using a pencil. Using a 1/16 drill bit, drill 1 down into windowsill. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to attach the Cat Window Perch with the 3 provided screws. Replace foam and cloth cover and your Cat Window Perch is ready for use. Rubber bumpers may be attached to the legs where they meet the wall if more stability is needed.
Tip: The Cat Window Perch is covered in orthopedic foam, great for arthritic cats.

Cat Window Perch 4.8 5 13 13
Cat Window Perch I have had this for about a week, and didn't know how my older cats would react... but since ALL my cats are Black Beauties, I put a navy hand towel over the fleece cover because no matter how much I brush them the long fur still sheds. I also put a bubble pack plastic between the cover and the pad, JUST in case of any accidents or fur balls. After they investigated it for awhile, now I have 1 that wants to dominate it...thankfully the others are patient with him & just wait for their turn. So it was a BIG HIT here!!!! =^..^= 06/30/2014
My cats love their perch! My cats love to sit on their perch and watch the birds and the goldfish in the pond outside our bedroom window 04/25/2013
Our cat LOVES it!!!! This is one of the best presents I have ever gotten for our cat. We have a Devon Rex who just turned 11. He spends ALL day spread out on the perch in the sunlight. He cries for my daughter to open the window shade in the morning so he can jump on his perch, One day our neighbor took a picture of our cat, sound asleep, with his face smooshed up against the window. This is comfortable, easy to clean, easy to assemble and attach to window. GREAT addition for indoor cats. Kanner loves it!!! 04/12/2013
velcro did not hold cat and perch fell out of the window during the night. she won't go on it again but other three still do. 02/14/2013
Excellent buy My cat LOVES this perch. Like most cats, she prefers to be higher up & looking outside. Besides my lap, this is her favorite spot in the house. I highly recommend this product. 12/08/2012

Answer:
If you're referring to the Cat Window Perch, it sits on the window sill & is braced from underneath by adjustable plastic brackets that hook on bottom of perch & support itself against the wall underneath. There is also velcro to attach to window sill & perch, or for wooden sills, there are screws if you need to secure it. Mine is actually wedged in between my window frame and my waterbed frame. And since it was SUCH a tight squeeze, I only used the velcro on the sill itself. It isn't going anywhere. Which is why I couldn't fit any type of cat tree in between bed frame & window. This SOLVED my problem!!

Thank you for your question. The width is 14'' and the length is 24''. It attaches to a location with Velcro straps or you are able to screw it into a wall.

Answer:
The Window Cat Perch is whatever height YOUR Window Sill is, because it partially sits on that, attached with Velcro or screws. Underneath are adjustable brackets that hook in the perch & brace them self against the wall. So how ever high your window is...is how high the perch is. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. The perch can be attached using Velcro strips or with screws so you are able to adjust where you place it and the height.

Not sure of the answer to that, because mine is fairly new. I put bubble pack plastic between the padding & under the cover to protect it...but the cover is washable. I also put a dark hand towel over the beige fleece because all my Purr-babies are Black Beauties. You may wish to contact PetMed's Customer Service or give them a call. Hope this helps.

Answer:
There are not only 2 different ways to attach the "perch" to the window sill, but it's IMPORTANT to use the adjustable brackets underneath to support the cat's weight for the part that hangs OFF the window sill. (The window sill needs to be cleaned & dry prior to applying the Velcro strips. Also on everything else I've used Velcro on, it usually tells you to let the Velcro strips be attached to each object for at least an hour before attaching them together...just an FYI on regular sticky back velcro directions.

Answer:
You can either use the sticky velcro stuff that comes with it, or screw it in. I elected to screw it in to be sure it would be secure.

Answer:
The perch comes with 2 methods to attach to the windowsill. There are large, heavy-duty Velcro strips that you attach to the bottom of the perch and to the windowsill. If you have a wooden windowsill, you can use the provided screws to attach to your windowsill if you prefer.
