Rated 5 out of 5 by from My little puppy loves these! I have a new puppy (10 weeks old). I got a sample of one of these chews from the vet. I forgot all about it until tonight. My normally calm, mild-mannered puppy was going crazy nipping and biting everything and everyone. I tried to give him his other chew toys, but he quickly grew disinterested. I remembered the Hextra chew and decided to try it. He quickly sniffed it, then started chewing away and stayed occupied for 45 minutes or so, which isn't bad. Now that he's stopped chewing, it seems like he's gotten some relief for his teeth and he i much calmer. There is still some of the chew left and he keeps going back to it. I'm sad that this is out of stock, but I'll try to get more from the vet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! My Smooch goes crazy for these dental chews! It is a ritual every morning for her to get one of these after eating. She jumps up and down when she sees it. I have never seen her get this excited about any other treat or bone. At 17, she no longer can chew on bones, so this treat gives her the chewing experience. I do wish they lasted longer - gone in 5 minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dogs look forward to their Chew sticks..They enjoy the chewing and it must taste good because they get so excited when I ask them"Are you ready for your stickie?"

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loves it! My 20 lb. schnauzer loves these, but the size recommended is just too small for her to chew until it becomes an aid to her plaque build up and bad breath. She just snarfs them down like a treat. I'm sorry that I purchased such a large quantity, as they are way too costly for a treat. I counted on them being a "chewy" that she would gnaw on that would get some of her dental issues checked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dog loves it Mid morning Molly wants me to go on the computer because that's when she begs for a chewy. She eats it so fast but then is very satisfied and doesn't bother me for awhile.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Maggie didn't like these any better I had thought the C.E.T. HEXtra Premium Chews might appeal more to Maggie than the regular C.E.T. chews but unfortunately they didn't. Maybe they're just not "chewy" enough or flavorful enough (I'm not going to try them myself to see!). I don't know what I should try next to help with her doggy breath.

Is it ok to swallow almost whole?

My dog will chew for a little while but once it gets a little soft her goal is to swallow it whole. I think a larger or thicker chew would cause her to chew more but they seem to be smaller and thinner now. Is it ok for her to swallow the chew while it's still almost whole? I'm afraid of them getting stuck in her system. That's why I usually wait a few days to give another. Would like to give daily but afraid they will clogged up her insides.
Asked by: mangaj
Thank you for your question. No, please do not allow your furry pal to swallow this whole.

Choking hazard

Are these safe for my small dog? They are so hard I am afraid he is going to choke on them. Do I give him the whole strip? Should I break it into pieces? Or do these work in a way that will not be a choking hazard.?
Asked by: Mish7399
Thank you for your question. You can give your dog the entire chew or you can break it into pieces. It is not a choking hazard for your dog, we suggest ordering the size that goes with the weight of your furry pal.

what size chews should I order?

My little baby is a Minnie Wienie dog. The last bags of chews I got for her was the sticks. She loved them. She has since been fixed and has went up in weight to exactly 11.0 pounds? Should I stick with the sticks for petite dogs? I was going to order 2 bags. I give her one stick every 2 to 3 days. If she does happen to go up a couple of ounces in weight will it still be effective until I can order the next size? I am going to tryto keep her weight at 11 pounds or below. I am now measuring her food and the only treats I will be giving her will be these sticks? I will be walking her also, so I would rather get the smaller sticks instead of the one's for dogs that start at 11 pounds and go up to 30 pounds; would that be to much of the medicine on the sticks for herA?
Asked by: Precious puppy dog
Hi there,The sizes differentiate by weight so they do not become a choking hazard. You may want to order one bag at a time since the weight fluctuates for your Furry Friend. Also ask your vet, since he can determine by breed and also being he is familiar with your Furry Friend to give you the best answer.
