Lab spit it out
My lab, who will eat just about anything, did not like these pills. The smell is terrible and she just spit it out. I normally hand her pills or drop them in her food but she wouldn't eat these. I wound up just throwing them out.

My dog likes it
It's so easy for him to take. He think it's a treat so he must love the taste. I think his breath helped some what. My baby is 14 yr old yorkie. Other options to have his dental work done is bit risky. So I definitely recommend it.

All our dogs...
We have 5 dogs...different sizes and weights. However, none of our dogs would get past smelling these tablets. We have tried several methods to "trick" them, but no go...They are too smart for us...lol. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Nice treat
Our terrier mix seems to like these a lot. He would swallow them whole if I didn't break them up into little pieces. I think it has helped his breath somewhat. At 16.5 years old, he cannot be put under anesthesia to have his teeth professionally cleaned again, so this is just something to help him out a little. If anything, it is a nice little treat for him after his breakfast and dinner.

breath refresher
Sam won't eat it alone so I break it up in his food at nite and he eats up his whole bowl. I also bought the Omega 3 and sqeeze the capsule onto his food which again he eats right up. Gave some to a friend to try on her 2 dogs and she said they had the same reaction. thanks

Here is a direct link to that product: http://www.1800petmeds.com/Be+Fresh...Q: i have tried both the mouth freshner liquid and the pills, neither one is working for my Grehound, Her breath is terrible. Any suggestions what else i can use, besides going to the vets, Its two expensive, cost me $325 dollars for teeth cleaning.AnswersAnswersA: I don't see why you shouldn't be able to crush them. They are not powdery and should not turn to dust or anything like that.A: i have never i just give them whole and my yorkie chews them right up like a treat !A: There are some tablet crushers that you can buy at Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens, etc. after crushing the tablet mix the powder with some water and then you can use a "dropper" but it looks like a "xeringe" this is for Babies' medications. That is what I do when my doggie does not want to take his medications.A: yes, he still won't eat them. I tried to put it in his food, he wouldn't eat the food.A: Each breath refresher is about the size of a quarter. They are very easy to break into pieces. I have a small Boston Terrier (11 pounds), so I break one breath refresher into 4 pieces and feed it to my dog. The tablets would also be very easy to crush if necessary.Q: I have a Yorkie and maltese with gastro issues,IBS, on speical diets,7 yrs old but have terrible breath & plaque issues. do you think these will help any ??AnswersA: I have a pure breed yorkshire terrier. He has no issue with the breath tablets or the liquid one you put in the water.A: My dog has skin issues and the vet said these were fine.A: Hello Truffle and Canoli,We hope you and your pet are doing well today. We would highly suggest that you consult with your vet before giving this medication to your pet. We look forward to helping you and your pet again. AnswersA: Can either be from a build up of plaque on the teeth or from stomach issues. If it's a plaque problem, these tablets, as well as only giving your dog hard dog biscuits as treats should help to clean the teeth and correct the breath. If it's a stomach thing, you might try changing the dog's food and see if that helps.A: I would give these a try. They will work on bad breath. you will be glad you did.A: some of the reasons dogs have bad breath are, poor oral health, where the teeth do not get brushed and the gums do not get massaged by feeding it the proper food/treats, poor digestion or colon type problems. for the colon, use a probiotic, such as our naturvet enzymes. doing the above will help tremendously.Note: Any trademarks are the property of their respective companies. |
