I love this product! It has tremendously improved my dogs bad breath. My brother would always make comments about how nasty her breath was and now he never mentions it. It does not seem to have any taste or smell that the dogs can detect because my dog is really picky and she loves it! I have no noticed any side affects. I would recommend this above all other solutions I have used and will definately continue using this product!
What an easy way to clean and freshen your dog's and cat's teeth and breath! It's heavenly; and it's economical! The animals don't even notice the difference in the taste - but I sure notice the difference in the smell of their breath! WOW!!
After a VERY expensive dental cleaning for my two small dogs, I decided to be proactive and PREVENT costly dental work in the future. This rinse became part of my system of attack which also included tooth brushing, crunchy food, and Greenies treats. My dogs now have perfect breath and shiny white teeth.
This is the best. So easy. The tarter is coming off her teeth and her breath does not smell at all. I have been using this for only a week now. GREAT!!!
I like how easy it is to use and Sandy seems to like it. I find here drinking more water. I also like the teeth wipes, I seem to have a little trouble finding them in your catalogue. Maybe next order.
That will probably depend on: A- the size of the pet B- how much it drinks C- what is causing the bad breath
It will probably take a minimum of a week before any change is noticed, and as long as three weeks before the odors are minimized. In some cases like corporophagia (waste-eating) the bad breath will be unchanged. Item C above is the most important part of the answer.

I have used this product for two years and found that while it will not make your dog's breath minty fresh like mouthwash, his breath has been noticably improved within 2 weeks from when we started using it. While visiting his vet periodically, I am told his teeth look great, with little tartar build-up over the last several years. This product must be the X-Factor!
My dog is 12 years old and regularly has bad tartar buildup. He doesn't chew bones and is very particular with dog treats. I don't wish to have him anestisized for a teeth cleaning, nor can I afford to pay for the procedure. Does anyone have an idea on how I can diminish the tartar buildup he has already, and keep it at a healthy level?

That's a tough one. Try Be Fresh Dental Care Solution (liquid that you add to his water bowl). You said he doesn't chew bones, but maybe he would like a smaller chew, like the Virbac CET dental chews. My dog loves them. They have liver flavor on them, as well as chlorhexadine which cleans their teeth. If neither of those work, maybe try a rope toy and/or a squeaky toy that has nubs on it that also aid in teeth cleaning.
Be Fresh Dental Care Solution helps keep the pets mouth healthy by killing plaque and tartar producing bacteria. However, for pets with significant tartar buildup, a visit to the veterinarian to clean the teeth is important. Poor teeth with significant tarter buildup can lead to gum disease causing loss of the teeth. In addition, the bacteria that cause tartar and plaque buildup can even affect the pet's heart.
The solution should last for as long as it takes for your pet to finish the water. Water that is not finished by the pet within 8 hours or so should be replaced so the pet always has fresh water.
I'm concerned that the filter will remove the Be Fresh Dental Care Solution. Also, I don't change the water every day. I just add water daily to maintain a certain water level in the bowl. I do a total water change about once a week. So, would I only add new solution with complete water changes? Or should I add more solution with the water I add daily?

That depends on the filter system. If there is activated charcoal in the filter, then yes; the product will be removed. That's what the charcoal is for, removing liquid contaminants. If the filter system doesn't have charcoal in it, then *probably* the solution will remain in the water, but I wouldn't bet on it. You might set out a separate bowl of treated water some distance away from the fountain. That way, the problem won't occur and you can deal with replenishment easily on a daily schedule by replacing what your pet drinks.
