This ingredient is commonly found in many flea control products because it is believed to be less toxic than other pesticides, but it is still effective in repelling insects, including fleas. Peppermint oil is also a natural repellent against fleas and mosquitoes. The cinnamon and rosemary oils leave your dog's coat smelling fresh and clean.

Not worth the money
This product kills the fleas on my dogs when I bathe them with it, but it DOES NOT REPEL fleas at all. Not even for a day. I am not at all happy with this product.

Be Flea Free Shampoo
The "Be Flea Free Shampoo" works pretty well. As any pet owner knows, there is no way that a shampoo by itself will prevent fleas from attaching themsleves to your pet.
That being said, we travel alot, and as such have to visit folks who have yards that are prime for fleas. Not due to their carelessness, but wildlife, etc.
We have found that if we bathe our Cocker Spaniel before the trip, it greatly reduces the incidence of fleas attaching to our dog. If we notice an above normal amount of scratching, another quick bath seems to make her much more comfortable.
We still use the regular medicinal treatment, but we've found this shampoo to be a big help.

not so great a deal
Used the shampoo as directed but my poor little pug still has fleas and still scratches. Even used a flea comb. I'm happy it works for some animals though.

Worked for me :-)
We used this product followed by Advantage flea dips and we went from a dog that was almost constantly itching to a dog that is hardly itching at all right now. Not to mention her fur looks amazing and shiny, and as an added bonus she is super soft. I am not sure if it worked so well cause the combination of what we used or not, but whatever we did it is working!

Kitti, good question. We don't carry any flea shampoo for cats. We recommend a good monthly topical flea protection such as Advantage II: http://www.1800petmeds.com/Advantage+II+-prod10433.html
