I have been doing rescue/foster/adoption work with animals of all species for almost 20 years. Often I get elderly dogs or dogs with health issues, which makes them hard to adopt out. Those special animals get to live out their lives with me and my family.
Twenty one years ago I got a Labrador Retriever that had been beaten so brutally that both her front legs had compound fractures and her back legs had spiral breaks. After several surgeries and lots of therapy she made a full recovery, but as she aged she began to experiece alot of joint pain and difficulty getting around.
I spoke with our vet about it and did a lot of research and found Arthramine. I put Bambi on it and within a couple of months I saw great improvement. She became more mobile, less hesitant to get up or down, and eventually full mobility returned. She passed away 2 years ago at the age of 19 years old and thanks to Arthramine she was pain-free for the last 15-16 years.
Now I have a 20 year old husky mix, a 15 year old Chow mix who has had one femur ball removed (the head of the femur bone that fits into the hip socket), a beagle/basset mix that is 14, and an 8 year old lab mix who has hip dysplasia. ALL of them are on Arthramine every day and I believe that it has improved their quality of life by 100%. Only the Lab mix shows any signs of being in pain and that is only after our long daily walks.
I recommend Arthramine to anyone who has a dog - young or old - with joint, hip, or bone pain. Without this product I am sure I would have had to put several of my rescues to sleep in order to spare them the constant pain that goes with arthritis or hip dysplasia.
My lab-mix started having stiffness in her knees after a big day of hiking, walking, or playing in general. After some major research through 1-800-PetMeds we found Arthramine and took a chance. This was the best decision we could have made! She no longer is stiff or sore after a rambunctious day or weekend and she loves getting her "pill" with her dinner every day! Great pick, works wonderfully!
I don't usually write reviews unless I believe in the product. I orignally bought these for a dog that was limping. The vet said she has arthritis in her knee based on the x-ray. She is only 6, but regardless....she no longer limps. Then I started giving them to my 10 year old dog. She no longer has trouble jumping in the truck to go to the park. Not usually a believer in vitamins, but these seem to help. Neither dog showed stomach issues either.
Our 5 year old 110 lb. baby had a very bad limp and never really applied pressure to her rear left leg. We were told that she would need a double hip replacement. She was taking prescription meds that were helping, but very expensive. We started her on this and after a month you'ld never know she had a problem. She loves to play and does it every day now with no problem. No aches, no pains, no limping.
After trying several joint and hip supplements we found this and will never go back. I give this to my 2 great danes...1 is 9 and 1 is 7...less limping, and NO runny stool like we had with other products!
My Chocolate Lab is currently taking the supplement "dasquin". This product appears to have the same general active ingredients, and not as expensive. I am looking to possibly switch her to this instead? Any thoughts :)
Hello Krysta Rose, We hope you and your pet are doing well today. The Dasuquin is better for your pet then the Arthramine. The Dasuquin dose more for your pet. For a product that is similar but not as costly, you can use Glyco Flexx.
