About this product

What are Incurin (estriol) Tablets?

INCURIN (estriol) Tablets are an effective treatment for the control of estrogen-responsive urinary incontinence in spayed female dogs that contains estriol, a naturally occurring, short-acting estrogen found in female dogs, with the convenience of once-a-day dosing.

Suitable for:

Spayed Female Dogs with Urinary Inconteninence

Benefits:

  • Proven effective in reducing or eliminating urinary incontinence in spayed female dogs
  • 93% of dogs treated were improved or continent by 6 weeks
  • Convenient, once-a-day dosing
  • One simple starting dose for all female dogs and just 1 tablet size
  • Helps bring confidence to treating incontinence - INCURIN has been safely and effectively used worldwide for more than 20 years, and pet parents agree that it works.

How it works:

Incurin (estriol) Tablets are indicated for the control of estrogen-responsive urinary incontinence in ovariohysterectomized female dogs. Incurin (estriol) Tablets contain the active ingredient estriol, a natural estrogen, which increases the resting muscle tone of the urethra in female dogs and can be used in the treatment of urinary incontinence due to estrogen depletion. It is given once a day with a starting dose of two tablets for any female dog, regardless of age or weight. The dose of Incurin (estriol) Tablets is then titrated down over time to the lowest effective dose.

What is the most important thing I should know about Incurin (estriol) Tablets?

Evaluation of factors contributing to urinary incontinence should be considered prior to administration of INCURIN® Tablets. Do not use with other estrogens. The concomitant use of INCURIN® Tablets with other estrogens or with glucocorticoids has not been evaluated. The safe use of INCURIN® Tablets has not been evaluated in intact female dogs, pregnant or lactating dogs, male dogs, dogs less than 1 year of age, or dogs with liver disease.

Cautions:

Human Warnings: Not for human use. Keep out of the reach of children. Women who are of child-bearing age or those who are breastfeeding should use caution when administering INCURIN® Tablets. Wash your hands with soap and water after administration to avoid exposure to the drug. Consult a physician in case of accidental ingestion by humans.
Animal Warnings: Some estrogens have been associated with bone marrow changes and an increased risk of mammary tumors. However, target animal safety study results and foreign post-market pharmacovigilance data for INCURIN® Tablets have shown that estriol-treated dogs are at low risk for developing these conditions.

There should be a minimum of 7 days between each dose adjustment. After the lowest daily dose that controls urinary incontinence is identified, the dose may be decreased further by administering once every two days. Breed German Sheppard
Finally found something that works
I have a 3 year old female German Sheppard that had incontinent so bad I had to pull up my carpet and place water resistant flooring down. She was on proin for a month but it made her worse. It was stressful for her and on me. She would wake up in a puddle of urine every time she laid down. She would leak through the diapers and pads. She has been on incurin for 3 weeks now. It’s working.

1-800 Pet Meds is the BEST!
I've been doing business with 1-800 Pet Meds for a while now, and I cannot express how grateful I am to them for their services. The staff is the nicest group of people who go out of the way to make sure my fur babies have what they need. I absolutely love these folks. I've had my husky on Incurin for a few years now. I started her out on 2 a day then lowered it to one and it has taken care of her bladder leakage problem, which was likely due to early spaying. Thank you, Pet Meds for always being there for me. I adore you.

Quick results!
My older dog started having severe incontinence issues after being put on furosemide for heart failure. After just a few doses, she was accident free, and has been for months now. Such a relief!

4 yo doberman
Lucy started leaking a year after her emergency spay at 3 years old. I held out for 2 months and watched leaks come and go, soaking the bed at its worst. Have been on it for two months and leaking has almost stppped completely at about a month. Tried going to every 2 days but leaks returned. Keep in mind if u dont start w loading dose of 2 pills a day, it will take longer than 2 weeks to fully kick in - my vet led me astray in that regard. Alternatives are corn silk, soya isoflavones, vet classic dog incontinence, DES (which has worse side effects but seeme you have to dose more often), and proin - which is basically same thing as sudafed.

Fast Service from 1800PetMeds
Just started using Incurin for my female Doberman's urinary "dribbling". So far so good, NO side effects and even after only 5 days I see some improvement. (Won't be sure of effectiveness for up to 14 days, so I will update product review.) More noteworthy is the service and assistance I received from 800PetMeds. The prescription was originally filled by my vet at another online pharmacy and besides taking 13 days to get to me, they only sent enough meds to get through 14 days, even though I had spoken with them before shipping and been assured there was a one month supply. As soon as I received it, I called 800PetMeds and had the prescription switched to them. They walked me through the process, offered to fill more than one month of the prescription at once to reduce shipping (to FREE), and I had the order in my hands in THREE days. 800PetMeds price was also cheaper than the other company. As if that's not enough, they included a large yummy biscuit for my dog. (Well...I'm assuming it was yummy. It disappeared immediately.) I'm a new customer and I will most definitely be a repeat customer.

Works wonderfully
I've been using this with my 2year old Doberman for a few months now. We find a daily pill easiest to remember but she can go two days I between does without any leakage.
