To flatten the mat's edges, try dampening them with a spray bottle filled with water. After lightly spritzing the edges, gently tug and straighten them to encourage the mat to lay flat. Then, place heavy objects such as books or furniture along the edges to weigh them down. Leave the mat in this position until it dries completely.
