Vet Review | I have found the glucosamine product Arthramine an economical tasty alternative to some of the more expensive joint supplements. I also like the addition of omega 3 fatty acids to the formula which also seem to help relief inflamed joints. Through regular use I have found that Arthramine relieves joint stiffness, arthritis pain and inflammation. I like the fact that it is made with all natural ingredients and in a formulation that most dogs love. It is very convenient to administer to especially larger breed dogs. The only rare problem I have seen is the development of occasional diarrhea in a rare pet. However I give this product an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5. | Glycoflex II is middle stage product is an excellent choice for those pets with moderate joint problems or arthritis. What separates this product out from Glyco-Flex classic and Glycol-Flex I is the amount of glucosamine, perna canaliculus and MSM in the product, as the Glyco-Flex II does contain higher amounts of these nutrients. While these level of nutrients are not needed in dogs with mild arthritis, dogs with more severe joint problems do benefit from these and other added nutrients in the Glyco-Flex II product. It is made with the same trustworthiness and reliability as the other Glyco-Flex lines. This is often the product I will reach for that if in doubt about which Glyco-Flex formulation to use, you can¿t go wrong with this one, as it will not overdose or under dose any pets. As with the other products, the only cautions would be to check with your vet if a pet has a history of diabetes or urinary tract stones. I do love this product and give it an overall rating of 5 out of 5. With the development of these easy to administer chewable tablets, feline guardians do in fact find it alot easier to administer these wonderful joint supplements to often finicky felines. I just love the wonderful combination of synergistic ingredients in this product. Not only does it have the original Perna Canaliculus(green lipped mussel) of the Glycoflex classic formula, but also additional MSM, glucosamine, DMG and manganese to promote joint health and reduce inflammation. Given the lack of effective joint products available for arthritic or stiff felines, this will often be the first product I will reach for when treating lame or stiff cat. I will even start cats preventatively on this supplement past middle age to help slow down the progression of degenerative joint disease as they age. IT is very safe to use long term and a definite favorite of many veterinarians from the trustworthy Vetriscience company. I give this product an overall ranking of a 5 out of 5. | There is no better trustworthy neutraceutical company in the veterinary profession than the vetriscience company Their very first product called glycoflex, has reliably and in a trustworthy manner served the veterinary community and our companion dogs and cats with degenerative joint disease and arthritis for several decades now. . Fortunately with great distributers like 1800petmeds, products like glycoflex III are now readily available to the public at very reasonable costs. Not only does this wonderful whole food supplement contain the whole food perna canaliculus,(that has been researched recently in even human medicine in significantly helping very severe human arthritis patients), that is naturally rich in glucosamine and chondroitan sulphate, but also adds the wonderful synergistic nutrients in MSM and dimethylglycine(called DMG) to this wonderful formula which only enhances efficacy of this wonderful combination product. . The stage III formula is especially useful in those pets with either advanced arthritis of any cause, or in helping post operatively in terms of reducing recovery time in those aging pets who need to undergo stressful and painful orthopedic procedures. I find it best when this product is combined with other wonderful synergistic joint supplements like proanthozone from 1800petmeds, as well as fatty acids like super joint omega or super pure Omega 3 from 1800petmeds. When these products are used in combination, the efficacy of the combination certainly goes up significantly in my experience and opinion. The only drawbacks I have seen are in those rare dogs who are allergic to shellfish or wont eat this chewable flavored joint supplement, and on even rarer occasion in those pets with established diabetes, where sometimes dose adjustments need to be made. With all of that being said, I give this product an overall rating of 5, with its effectiveness a 5 and its taste a 4. |
