Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy from here... I purchased here and is not working very well for my dog. Also looks different than one my son purchased from another place, which his is working god for his dog. I would not buy from here, I'm thinking this may not be authentic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more Ticks Seresto is the only thing besides Bravecto to kill ticks where we live. The reason we switched is that the collar will last longer and is cheaper. So to us, it's a no brainier when you don't have to give your furbabies a pill. We've been using this collar for a couple of years now and love it. We have a Lab and a Boykin Spaniel and it works well for both of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No downside My Kobe a shiba inu was very sensitive to any applied flea/tick application. Seresto ended that problem. Great results and long duration.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Florida Flea Killer I have used Seresto collar for several years for my 20 lb., terrier mix house buddy. It works to kill fleas for 6 months because he gets frequent baths. I used to have live fleas all over the pet. He still gets bitten but fleas do not survive around him or on him. That is a big PLUS in my mind. It works! The vet says there is no way to keep fleas from getting on a dog outside. His life is better with Seresto collar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I have a lot of pets and have been using Seresto for a few years now. One cat is allergic so I use topical for him. We have 2 dogs so I use Seresto in tandem with a topical flea/tick/worm product and oral heartworm. We live in the south so heavily flea infested. These collars work for approx 5-6 mos. I’m happy with them and will continue to use as long as they are keeping the fleas away.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wow I have 5 dogs. Works great on 4 of them. Caused one of my dogs neck to swell and turn raw!! Pay attention if you try this product. And it did nothing for ticks on him either.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointing Worked the first two months, it is now 4 months old and has lost it's ability to keep fleas off my dog, going to have to go back to the old method of giving my dog pills, which he hates. I was so hoping this would work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A repeated customer I had bought this product for 3 years. The last one I bought quit working about half way through the use. When I called they said that if you bath you dog (and who doesn't) that it will weaken the strength. Like I said I have been using this product for 3 years now all of a sudden it quits working. I explained this to the person on the phone but to no a avail. They just said to remove the collar each time I bathe her or have her groomed. I just don't know if I will use this item again. Since they will not help a repeated customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No ticks so far These collars really seem to work. I got at least 6 ticks off my dog using Frontline this spring. Got the Serestro collar and haven't seen any for over a month. Got collars for my cats too (who do go outside because I can't stop them, they broke out window screens to escape), no ticks on any of them and we live in the Northwoods of WI. On EZREFILL for new ones every year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soresto Cat collar My boy is Mr. Kitty (among countless other names people call him lol ) So far the Soresto collar is working great! I was worried about spending so much on a flea collar but nothing else has worked as good as this. Havent seen a flea since we put it on a about a week ago and scratching has come to a complete halt which says something as hes an indoor/outdoor cat. I will be buying again in about 7 months, its definitely worth it!

Once I started using the Seresto collars my dogs were flea and tick free. I know they are working cuz I found a dead tick the other day. They are worth the price ( and You guys have the best price around) as they last all summer and you don’t have to worry about rememberIng to apply something once a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, something that works! We rescued a 2 month puppy infested in fleas which took over our home and our older dog. Countless shampoos, in home treatments and cleaning, we still could see an occasional flea on both dogs. Older dog on heartworm and flea medication but still picked up fleas. With 2 days if wearing collar, all fleas gone! Both dogs now flea free.

Questions

I can't find an Extra Large collar. Will this collar fit a Great Dane, approx. 200 lbs?

Asked by: Staceyrae
Thank you for your question. The Large collar is for dogs over 18lbs , the length of the collar is 27.5" so as long as the collar fits your pet and leaves room to slip two fingers between the collar and your pets neck this would work just fine.

Concerned that the live fleas that are repelled will turn up in our furniture or rug. Could that happen?

Asked by: Sarah
Thank you for your question. By repel it means the active ingredients in the collar kill the fleas and ticks on contact before they bite your dog. To prevent flea or tick infestation in your home you would want to treat your home and yard.

Will wearing a leather collar as well as the seresto collar interfere with its performance against fleas and ticks

Asked by: Slick
Thank you for your question. As long as the Seresto collar maintains contact with the skin it will be effective. If the collar will interfere with the Seresto collar having direct contact with your pets skin it is best not to have your pet wear the leather collar along with the Seresto.

What is Seresto?

Seresto is an effective, reliable alternative to monthly flea and tick topicals. This dual-action collar repels and kills fleas & ticks for 8 consecutive months. This means effective long-term flea and tick control without the inconvenience of monthly applications. Seresto protects your pet from fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, ticks, as well as sarcoptic mange on dogs without odor or mess. It is available in three formulations for Small Dogs up to 18 lbs, Large Dogs over 18 lbs, and Cats of all weights.

  • Available for Small Dogs weighing up to 18 lbs, Large Dogs weighing 18 lbs and over, and Cats of all weights

How does Seresto work?

The flea and tick collar releases the two active ingredients in low doses over an extended period of time. The ingredients are then absorbed through the fatty layer of your pet's skin and distributed throughout your pet's body to protect against fleas and ticks for eight months. Seresto can be worn alongside your pet's regular collar. No matter if you have a cat or a dog, the collars come with a ratchet release mechanism that releases when your pet is under pressure, which enables your pet to free himself or herself. It also has a pre-determined breaking point if your pet's head and neck get trapped, which allows your pet's strength to break the collar and get out of a dangerous situation.

Cautions:

The collar should not be used on puppies younger than seven weeks old or on kittens younger than ten weeks old. If ticks are present on your pet when the collar is applied, they will not die within the first forty-eight hours and should be removed manually. If your dog or cat shows any sign of skin irritation or other reaction to the collar, remove immediately and consult your veterinarian.

Do not allow children to play with collar or reflectors, or to put them in their mouths. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after fitting the collar. People with sensitivity reactions to the ingredients of the collar should avoid contact with the collar. Choking hazard. Contains small parts. Do not place reflectors in mouth. Not intended for use on humans.

Who makes Seresto?

Bayer

What is the most important thing I should know about Seresto?

Seresto is an effective alternative to topical flea and tick control. It is an innovative new flea and ticks collar that releases continuous active ingredients for 8 months, ensuring your pet is protected against harmful conditions that fleas and ticks can transmit. Seresto kills existing fleas on dogs in 24 hours, and reinfesting fleas within 2 hours with protection against further infestations lasting eight months. Ticks already on your pet prior to treatment may not be killed immediately and may remain visible and attached. The prevention of infestations with new ticks starts within 48 hours after application of the collar. Seresto kills lice on dogs for one month, and aids in the treatment and control of sarcoptic mange.

How should Seresto be applied?

For Small Dogs up to 18 lbs, for Large Dogs 18 lbs and over, and for Cats of all weights: Remove the collar from the tin and laminated bag and place the collar around your pet's neck. Push one end of the collar through the loop and adjust for correct fit. Carefully snip off the excess collar with scissors.

What are the potential side effects of Seresto?

Pets may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application. If signs persist or become more severe within a few days of application, consult a veterinarian immediately.

What should I avoid while applying Seresto to my pet?

Do not allow children to play with collar or reflectors, or allow to put them in their mouths.
