Rated 1 out of 5 by from Still fleas 2nd time getting flea X5 for cats and it'll be the last time. Doesn't work at all. Applied to my 3carts and they are still scratching and licking and miserable

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work!!! I had no luck with this stuff. My poor American bulldog is highly allergic to fleas so every bite she gets she ends up with a welt filled with puss... HERE I SPENT 85$ ON THIS BRAND, for my 2 cats and my 3 dogs and now I have to come up with 100$ to order more, because this stuff is junk and doesn't work.. i reapplied I did everything to make sure it wasn't my mistake..... I wish i never even bothered with this recommendation from petmeds! Very disappointed! Dont make my mistake trying to save some money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Half the price of Front Line for a Reason! It doesn't work. Our Chocolate Lab never had a flea for 14 years until we used this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I don't recommend this product I've been using this product since December 2019 and I am dealing with a horrible flea situation now. I will be switching over to a brand name.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t work! The ad compared to Frontline and this absolutely isn’t the case!!! I took my dog to the vet as she was continuously itching and found out she had flea dirt on her, which NEVER happened with Frontline.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work I bought this thinking it would work better then my original flea med but this is not good I have multiple cats and flea meds are expensive so I tried this thinking I would save a few bucks and give my kitties the protection needed. This did not even last the month and I had to hit them all again so not very cost effective.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great and so much cheaper! I was nervous about ordering because of some of the reviews. My dogs have used the brand name for years. But as a nurse- I happen to know that if the active ingredients are the same- then the generic medication should work exactly the same. And of course- it does! I just ordered my third and fourth boxes. My dogs remain flea and tick free and my bank account t doesn’t suffer so much covering 5 large dogs- including Great Danes!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work out for my cats I really wanted this brand to work for my cats unfortunately it hasn't helped. I deep cleaned everything and even gave them cap star to help with fleas. It started with a few fleas but now it's worse since the medication wasn't effective for my chonks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good Just got this last week and so far no ticks. They have been really bad so far this spring. Was pulling 2 to 3 ticks per day off of Sheba but none since I treated her with fleas5x plus. Not sure how it will work on fleas since they are not a problem yet

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Money Wasted I ordered 2, one for my cat and one for my 2 dogs. It does not work, my little Chihuahua has chewed her fur until she has 4 spots and no fur around her tail. I wasted right at $50.00 for nothing, I am very disappointed in the product.
Date published: 2020-05-08
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will never use again! Used only one application after seeing it advertised at lower price (which should have alerted me!). Within a week after first use, dog started vomiting several times per week. Had never had a reaction to the well-known "name" brands available elsewhere. Only to this one. Finally vomiting stopped after about 15-20 days but started scratching on a daily basis. Found fleas around his neck and tail areas. Will not use any more doses (5 of 6 left) which I will now discard. I don't care how much they can advertise as using "same ingredients" as other national brands. Allergic reactions to topical medications can, and frequently do, be caused by the INACTIVE ingredients used in the liquid transport used to transfer the active ingredients into the skin. So, the fact the active ingredients are identical means nothing. The inactive ones used may be be of a lower quality than other name brands, or may suffer from manufacturing problems to begin with due to lower quality control, etc., thus exposing the end user to some degree of toxicity. Live and learn! Will go back to Frontline, if not Advantage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent for the price I've just started my second month of use but I am satisfied so far. It's not as effective with re-exposure so if you have a household infestation you'll need to treat the house separately. That said, it works reasonably well and does last several weeks.

Questions

Do you have front line for dogs 5 lbs

Asked by: Elizabeth
Thank you for your question. No, Frontline Plus nor the generic Flea 5x Plus is suitable for a 5lb dog. Your dog must be at least 6lbs and (8 weeks or older) to use this product. K9 Advantix II however can be used on dogs weighing 4+ lbs and at least 7 weeks of age or older.
