Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flea 5X Plus for Dogs I've started using this for the second time and I am very pleased with the results for my 4 dogs. A very great and reasonably priced alternative to Frontline! Give it a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product. Our yard has a flea problem. We have had it sprayed and everything but nothing works. Our dog and cat both go outside and nothing I used controlled the fleas. The poor cat is allergic and had fur coming out. We had a bet recommend this product because it’s cheaper than many name brands and effective. We have seen no more fleas on our pets since starting the treatment. I can’t rave enough about it. After all the money we spend trying to prevent fleas. This product cost is about $7 a month which I think is extremely affordable. My pets have had no reactions and the cats fur is back to its normal full luster.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Work...bad customer service I bought this a week ago and applied to my dog. I few days later I found fleas crawling on him. I've applied flea medicine a hundred times before so I know I did it right. I emailed customer service almost right away and have yet to receive a response.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works I bought this because it said it was the generic to frontline which is what is usually used. So far it does what it’s supposed to do. I’m happy and so is my Dakota.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent service great service , been using the generic brand for quite some time now and Jorge loves the catnip you toss in as a bonus, but you are going to have to get wine vouchers that us cold folk up here in Canada can use. Would love the discount on a case of wine but not worth the paper its written on if you cant use it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generic wonder I've been using this product for a few years now...works great...I have inside and outside cats... live rurally and it overall takes care of ticks as well as fleas...I have one cat that has a slight reaction to the treatment and it goes away within minutes...Flea X is considerably less expensive and does the job....would like to see this product last longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I have been buying this product from 800petmeds for years and it works great. It is less expensive than Frontline as well. It always arrives in a timely manner.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not kill ticks! I have 3 cats and have noticed an increase in ticks on them. I purchased this because it claimed to treat for fleas as well as ticks. In the attached photo, there are 6 ticks that I have pulled off of ONE of my cats in the past week since I applied the treatment. It has helped with the flea though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FLEA5X PLUS-GENERIC TO FRONTLINE This is every bit as good as Frontline. It works great! There has been absolutely zero fleas or ticks on my puppy since the beginning! And it’s much cheaper than Frontline, as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Burn We have been using this product for over a year. What a relief! Frontline caused such a burn on the back of the 4 cats necks, that I had anxiety everytime they were due for another treatment. We tried a few other products, without success. We are surrounded by acres of woodlands, and this product has worked to keep the fleas and ticks away ....without the Burn!

Date published: 2019-10-28
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great, but not for long-haired dogs I have used this product for about a year now and I have absolutely no complaints about the active ingredients, but the solution itself is too thick and causes big mats on my two long-haired English Shepherds no matter how careful I am in applying it. This would probably be a really good choice for short haired dogs, but until they change the formulation to something not so thick and sticky (hint, hint), I will be using the brand name product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It used to work great unfortunately not so much no I bought two 6-month supplies one for my cat one for my dog. I have pulled two ticks off my cat and both the dog and the cat have fleas now I have used it as directed as I always have. This time it just doesn't seem effective really at all. Just had a flea jump on me while I'm writing this review. I spent a lot of money all at once just to make sure I wouldn't have to go through fleas or ticks and I've had to deal with both. Think I'm going to have to find something different a little more effective.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Killed a few fleas... We noticed the fleas on our cats were starting to die so we thoroughly cleaned and even bombed the house. A couple of days later they were all scratching so I checked and sure enough they still had fleas. They're all inside cats so this was a massive disappointment. Now I have to start over with a different product. Total wasted of money with this stuff.

Thank you for your question. Flea 5x Plus does not prevent ear mites. One way to prevent ear mites in your pet is to regularly use an ear cleaner to care for your pet's ears. We give our 2 dogs Booboo & Henry Flea5X Plus &Interceptor Plus. As I cleaned their enclosed yard today I found white, rice like worms in Henry's stools. They don't have fleas & if a tick crawls on them it dies. Could he need a different med?

Asked by: Gramma
Thank you for your question. It sounds like your furry friend may have tapeworms. Tapeworm infections are usually diagnosed by finding segments—which appear as small white worms that may look like grains of rice or seeds—on the rear end of your dog, in your dog’s feces, or where your dog lives and sleeps. We would recommend consulting with your DVM to be 100% sure. There are over the counter dewormer medications available as well.
