Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works fairly well My 9-year-old chow mix has severe arthritis in her right hind knee and vet recommended these. Helps a lot, but Sissy still has bad days requiring rymadil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it is a miracle My Harley, 11 year old American bulldog, slipped and tore her back knee which required surgery and 6-weeks recovery. Well she was a great patient & followed the vets instructions to keep inactive. Unfortunately the surgery did not fix the problem so another surgery was required. Needless to say arthritis set in & the vet recommended Dasuquin soft chews. After a couple of weeks on the chews & she is better than ever. Runs & plays with our other 2-yr old like she is a young pup. Easy to administer - just put in with her food daily

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trixie likes them When my Corgi came from the groomer which I have use for quite a few years she could not climb the stairs. I massaged her back and walk behind her. I saw this product and not only she likes them, but she is back to run the cat up the stairs and play soccer. She is a great goalie. Sorry to hear that for other dogs it has not work , but Trixie is a happy Corgi.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has made a tremendous difference My eleven year old Rottie was beginning to show signs of stiffness and difficulty moving quickly. The vet. recommended Dasuquin Soft Chews. I purchased a bag, and within days could see the difference in him. I had tried other products for joint pain, but nothing has worked like this. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best we have used so far We had been using another product for almost 3 years and our dog's pain was becoming worse and worse. We switched to Dasuquin and our dog is much more active and comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Product for a happy Bassett Our Bassett pup had two trips to the vet his first year... he would hardly walk on his hind right leg and was in terrible discomfort. The vet told us he has bad hips (common to Bassetts). Our vet Dr. Meyer (the BEST) recommended that before any drastic measures, we try Dasuquin... see how that helps, watch his diet and as he develops more muscle to support his hips... hopefully all will be much improved. It has been a year now since we started and all is well. Dash is very active and has not had another episode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Effective I tried Dasuquin on my vet's recommendation, and my tall pug went from limping on his back right leg to running in a matter of weeks. I couldn't believe it. Due to the cost, though, I tried two other products. One was a powder that I sprinkled over Guppy's (my dog's) food - he didn't want to touch the stuff (and when he did, he threw up). The other product was a harder treat that he eats semi-reluctantly, but it just plain doesn't work miracles like Dasuquin; he is back to limping. Guppy loves these treats and I love the result. Definitely a worthwhile purchase that I highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chihuahua Our little girl Dixie has had joint issues for several years. Very common to Chihuahua's. If a knee would pop out of place, she hurt so much. We put her on Dasuguin soft chews and saw an incredible result. She runs, plays and is doing great. It has helped her avoid surgery, at least up to this point. She takes a half of a small dog chew every day. That is a good place to start. The taste seems to bother her, but a dab of peanut butter on the chew and she scarfs it right down (she might be a little spoiled)!! Fantastic product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product Our baby Chloe, who is now 6 years old was put on Dasuquin soft chews last year for frequent urination. Our wonderful vet. recommended this product and said, not only does this product work well for joint health, it also helps with the lining of the bladder. Since taking this product, Chloe has been doing great! Thanks to our wonderful vet., Dr. Dana and also Dasuquin!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Effective Our Westie, Lily had surgery on both of her knees by the time she was 2 years old. She was slow getting around so we had a round of special joint shots then afterwards our vet recommended to start her on Desequin soft chews. Lily has been on this medicine for over a year and doing wonderful.

Questions

Hi I have an 8.5 yorkie - is it suitable to give him the dosage for a 10 lb dog and if not what would the dosing recommendations be; or is there another chew for small toy breeds?

Asked by: Jody Y
Thank you for your question. The product advises the starting weight for your pet should be 10lbs. Consult your DVM before using this product. We offer other joint supplements such as Super Joint Enhancer Bite-Sized Chews which can be used for dogs under 10lbs and We also have Cosequin Minis Soft Chews maximum Strength with MSM for small dogs.

Can puppies take this?

Asked by: Tattoosrstupid
Thank you for your question. While there is no age requirement for this product your dog or puppy should weigh at least 10lbs before using this product. Adding a joint supplement to your pets daily routine can help maintain healthy joints and reduce the risk of developing arthritis as they age. Whether your pet is young or old, giving joint supplements can be beneficial to dogs and cats at any age

I already give my dog Phycox. Does this offer something different and should both be given?

Asked by: Carole
Thank you for your question. Both Dasuquin and Phycox are joint supplements. However the Dasuquin contains more of the key ingredients and mg dosage essential to maintaining your pets joint health such as Chondroitin , Glucosamine and MSM. It is not necessary to give both supplements simultaneously.

Is Dasaquin better than Cosequin?

Asked by: Mari
Thank you for your question. Both are great products. The main difference will be the dosage of the individual ingredients in the product. Also you have to decide if your furry friend will be willing to take a tablet or soft chews. And if maximum strength or msm ( helps with inflammation) is needed.

Is it useful for pain?

Asked by: Billie
Dasuquin's active ingredients include avocado/soybean unsaponifiables (ASU) which have shown to help protect cartilage and improve joint function. The ASU also helps potentiate the activity of Glucosamine and chondroitin. The combination of all three ingredients supports cartilage production and blocks enzymes that break down cartilage in your pet's body.

How is this different than my bottle I have of glucosamine chindroitin MSM joint supplement . It seems to have even more of these ingredients than the dog formula ?

Asked by: Alaska
There are several differences between Dasuquin and other glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate supplements labeled for human use sold over the counter. Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are available in differing purities and qualities; these differences could potentially affect absorption and ultimately efficacy. Dasuquin contains exclusive pharmaceutical grade glucosamine hydrochloride and low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate. Low molecular weight means the size of the compound is smaller and more easily absorbed by the digestive system than other less pure forms of chondroitin sulfate. Also, Dasuquin is manufactured following the high standards developed by the pharmaceutical industry with rigorous quality control procedures on raw ingredients and finished products. Lastly, Dasuquin is the only glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate supplement shown to be safe, effective and absorbable in dogs in published, controlled clinical trials conducted in the U.S.

What is Dasuquin Soft Chews For Dogs?

Dasuquin Soft Chews provide comprehensive joint health for dogs. They contain proprietary ingredients, which go above and beyond standard glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate supplements. Plus, they are tasty and easy to administer since your dog will just think they are a treat.

Dogs

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive joint support health
  • Contains glucosamine, chondroitin and ASU
  • Protects cartilage

How it Works:

Dasuquin contains avocado/soybean unsaponifiables (ASU), which have shown to help protect cartilage and improve joint function. Glucosamine is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Further research on the effectiveness of glucosamine is still needed, but many of our customers find it to be very beneficial to their pets.
