Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product works for us. We have a Mini Schnauzer and a Yorkipoo. This is the first natural shampoo that has worked for us. It always kills any fleas the dogs pick up and smells great. I have run out and can't wait to get another bottle. Thanks for a great product. I do wish there were a Natural topical or pill that worked for them too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NO-NO-NO Thought it worked at first as I saw fleas leaving during shampoo period. Then, I remembered, fleas did this with other shampoos as well. As soon as I walked her, fleas started jumping on her again. In other words, this product does not repel fleas as it advertises. Instead, they recommend you buy costly outdoor repellent for your yard and home. I do not walk the dog in My yard and My home - I walk her around the neighborhood. p.s. - Does not repel mosquitoes either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I recommend, it did the job. This shampoo was very helpful and she was feeling and acting like her old self. Unfortunate for my husband and I our bestes friend passed away May 21st when we were at our doctor for our follow up. When we arrived home we found her laying at the window, she had gone home to doggie heaven. This product had nothing to do with this happening. After she had been washed she gave us such a look of feeling good and responded like our loving companion. Thank you personnel of Petmeds for being there for us for our pet as well as our sons two dogs Cooper and Lilly. God bless you all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All four of my dogs LOVE it & so I love it Even if my kids (that's what we call them) didn't have fleas I would recommend this as their only shampoo. Not only does it smell great & the fleas hate it, there coats are left so soft, grease free, white just awesome! The label suggests using gloves which I did for my Yorkie but didn't use them for the two Beagles or my Jack Russell. There wasn't any difference. Love the smell-so clean & refreshing. This is the only shampoo for our Kids!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great scent!! The product smells great when using it and kills fleas during the bath but no lasting scent or flea repellent effect noticed. I will continue to use it because I LOVE the cinnamon scent but not impressed with the claims of being a repellent! Also, if its all natural and so safe for our pets why does it recommend wearing gloves when applying to our fur babies?!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fles Shampoo The shampoo was a OK, product . I problem with it was the amount of time I had to leave it on my pet. Try to keep a dog "still", when it's just been washed ,wants to shake the wetness off it skin, hair and be done! How do you do that in that situation?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work well or last long We've used this shampoo for over a year. Seemed to work at first. We've been bathing our dog twice a week & no luck. Last week most of the fleas died in tub but the rest (4 fleas) were still alive. I had to kill by hand. After his bath & about an hour later I did a flea check. He was inside this whole time. I found 4 fleas roaming around on him. I'm looking into & will be trying other products else where. Last order I made I bought the spray & it does not kill them even in a pool of liquid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome shampoo I used this shampoo after reading one of the reviews stating that the fleas "jumped off her dog". I thought, ok, grain of salt, but I'll give it a try. The fleas jumped off my dog. Literally. As soon as I started shampooing him, they were coming off of him left and right. I followed the directions to the letter. As I was rinsing him off, the fleas that were left on him just fell off with the water. I only had to pick TWO fleas off of him and they were dead. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! The dog will have to be treated with a flea medication, which I will apply as soon as he is dry. I think that believing a bath will completely solve the problem is a little naive. We live in South Carolina, transplants from Pennsylvania and I have only had a flea infestation like this once before in my life. This shampoo absolutely erases the need to sit and pick half dead fleas off your dog AFTER the bath. Thank you 1-800 Pet Meds for an awesome product! Did I mention that it smells great!!!!??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the smell I have purchased several bottles of the Be Flea Free Shampoo. It works well, along with monthly medication from Sophie's vet, which is a combination for intestinal worms and fleas. She hasn't had any fleas in months. The fragrance is wonderful and she loves having a bath. She weighs 96 pounds, so you can imagine, bathing her isn't easy, but she doesn't mind because she doesn't smell like medicine any more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from To good to be true I purchased both the spray and shampoo for my Boston Terrier, as soon as she is dry she is back to having fleas, keep in mind I also treat my home and yard.. I was looking for some thing gentle for her like this product, but, as everything else, it was just to good to be true

Rated 5 out of 5 by from shampoo and Zymox My daughter recommended this to me. I have 3 small dogs and 5 big dogs. The shampoo is so easy to use and the dogs don't fight me when I bath them. Their hair is soft and smells so good. I think they know that they are very special and smell great. But the bottom line is that it really does work and works well!!! The Zymox cured the itching in my small dog's ears. H was miserable and nothing worked. This does. After 2 treatments, I haven't seen him scratching his ears again.. Thank you a million times over. I foster dogs so they change often. I will tell the new parents what shampoo I recommend: BE FLEA FREE!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gideon Bath I was pleased with the plesant scent of the shampoo Gideon has long hair so having a shampoo that lathers well is very important and this did. He doesn't seem to have any fleas so I would assume the shampoo is doing it's job well. He also has sensitive skin and this shampoo is very mild and seems to agree with him I recommend this shampoo for anyone who doesn't want to have to use harsh flea sprays on their precious pet.

What effect does the Be Flea Free Shampoo have on the K9 advantix ll treatment?

Asked by: Mark
The Be Flea Free Shampoo can be safely used with any topical flea/tick medication like the K9 Advantix II, as it will not remove it. It is, however, recommended to wait 48 hours before or after applying the topical medication before bathing to make sure it will not be washed off.

Shampoo clumps up.

For some reason, during the bath, this shampoo will suddenly solidify, and once I add water, it liquifies again, but it's very aggravating. What causes this?
Asked by: Bev
I usually mix about a table spoon of shampoo per 1/2 gallon of water. A little goes a long way with this product. Not sure about the reason clumping tho.

Asked by: Britty
The goal while using this product is for you to eliminate the use of harsh chemicals on your pet. Those chemicals could also include the ones found in Frontline. However, it is always best to have flea and tick meds available if it is a particularly harsh flea season. This will allow you to treat your pet when you find more than a few fleas.
