Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best HWP & Flea prevention on the market My pack of little dogs refuse to take oral meds. I’ve wrapped them in cheese, peanut butter, lunch meat ... they always spit the oral meds out! Dosing 4 dogs is a real pain, but not with Advantage Multi. Squeeze the contents on the back of their necks and that’s it for a month! Easy peasy and effective. I’m comfortable knowing my beloved fur babies are protected from tiny critters for the next 30 days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more heart worms My golden retriever had been on a different heart worm medication when he started testing a slight positive for heart worms about 5 years ago. My vet recommended switching to Advantage Multi because there were cases of getting rid of the heart worms. At our last visit to the vet, my dog tested negative. Although the Advantage Multi is a little more expensive, it’s well worth it. I will continue to buy the Advantage Multi to keep my dog healthy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Good nutrition, a good weight and Advantage Multi are, in my opinion, the ticket for my Lab being 15 years old. She doesn't hear anything anymore but she still likes to go on walks, although a little slower and shorter these days, and has good quality off life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Flea and Tick med for a suspicious dog Yogi has been on Advantage Multi, bought thru 800 Pet Meds for years. He’s never been one to “eat” a med disguised as a treat. Most importantly it addresses the microfilare In the heart. So no heart worm worries

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, best price. Used to work for an animal shelter and always got sales reps in seller their products. Advantage multi always appealed to me because of the way it work as opposed to the other.....all other heartworm prevention requires your pet to be infection by heartworms and then kills baby worms, advantage multi prevents that, not allowing mosquitoes to even bite your dog. It does not have bad side effects for hearding breeds, which I have a border collie mix so that was number 1 concern. Plus on top of everything, the main medication builds up in the pups system to an extent, so after 4 months if you're a few days late giving the prevention your okay and your pup is still protected. Please do your research on HEARTWORM prevention, all dogs NEED it, even if they are INDOOR dogs, I'm an indoor human but still get bit by mosquitoes, and my bathroom is located indoors!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great results I haven't been unhappy with anything so far. The service has been great and they follow up to make sure you're doing okay with your pets' health and meds. This is workiing better for an older girl who already has a slight case of heartworms because they had stopped her Trefixis for a few months. So she has to use this product. Won't know how the heartworms are but she's flea-free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! I bought Advantage Multi about two and a half weeks ago and so far I have seen no allergy problems with this product! She was on Revolution 5.1-10 lbs and she had an problem with itching! She would scratch her neck where it would get sores! When I stopped for the winter the itching on her neck ceased! So far Advantage Multi seems to cause her no problems! I hope this continues because I like the convenience of the topical solution as she does not take pills even in her food or in pill pockets! So far so good!

Questions

I have one cat that is always chewing on himself and making bald spots everywhere, his belly his sides his tail like he's got little lice or something. And what kind of worms do they get from fleas chewing and eating them. How to get rid of them.

Asked by: David
You may want to consult with your veterinarian to rule out what is causing your furry baby to chew on himself. Your veterinarian can also prescribe the correct de wormer for you depending on the types of worms your furry baby contracted.

I have a dog that's been battling sarcoptic mites for a while now, she is currently on simparica which is helping a lot but not fully getting rid of them so I want to try this. What would I use along with this to get best results?

Asked by: Ryan
Sarcoptic mange is usually easily treated with one or 2 doses of ivermectin unless your dog is getting reinfected from another source (another pet or even yourself). Demodectic mange is usually the more difficult mange to treat. If the Simparica isn't clearing it up, ask your veterinarian for an alternate treatment, such a amitraz dips or milbemycin given daily (Interceptor or MilbeGuard). In some rare cases, demodecitc mange is never fully eliminated and you may be battling the condition for your dog's entire life. Demodectic mites are naturally occurring on every dog but in most cases, the dog's immune system allows the mite to overpopulate which causes the condition. Some dogs can outgrow it as their immune system matures, but again, the rare case never goes away completely.

Advantage Multi for Dogs offers heartworm disease prevention that forgives if you forget. With Advantage Multi for Dogs, if you forget and go over 30 days between applications, just treat immediately and resume your monthly schedule. Advantage Multi for Dogs also kills adult fleas through contact, meaning they dont have to bite your dog to die. Additionally, the product treats flea infestations as well as 3 common intestinal parasites that infect and harm dogs (roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms). How does Advantage Multi work?

Advantage Multi utilizes two effective ingredients, imidacloprid and moxidectin. Moxidectin kills baby heartworms that have been deposited in your dog or cat through the bite of a mosquito, preventing them from growing into adults, migrating to the heart, and causing disease. Moxidectin also kills common intestinal worms by intestinal worms by disrupting nerve transmission resulting in the paralysis and death. Imidacloprid kills fleas through contact. As fleas come in contact with your treated pet, imidacloprid is absorbed through the fleas skin where it acts on the nervous system resulting in spasm and death. Fleas do not need to bite and ingest it through the blood to die like oral treatments require.
