What is Bravecto?

Bravecto is the first oral chew to provide up to 12 weeks of protection against fleas and ticks. One chew provides broad-spectrum and long-lasting protection that starts to kill fleas within 2 hours and controls 4 tick species (black-legged tick, American dog tick, brown dog tick, and lone star tick). Bravecto eliminates current flea infestations and prevents new ones from developing for 12 weeks. With one chew, Bravecto is easier to give and less to worry about for you! Bravecto requires a prescription from your veterinarian.

For:

Dogs and puppies (over 4.4 lbs and 6 months of age or older)

Benefits:
  • With one dose, Bravecto resets the clock on flea and tick protection by providing effective prevention and treatment for both fleas and ticks for up to 12 weeks.
  • Close to a full year of protection with only 4 doses. No more monthly dosing!
  • No potential for messy application issues and no need to isolate from children or other pets after treatment
  • Fewer doses mean fewer chances to miss a dose decreasing the likelihood of having gaps in protection
  • Dogs love the taste!
How it Works:

After giving your dog Bravecto, the medication quickly reaches tissue fluids under your dog's skin. When fleas and ticks feed on your dog, they ingest Bravecto and die. Bravecto kills fleas, prevents flea infestations and kills ticks (black-legged tick, American dog tick, and brown dog tick) for 12 weeks. Bravecto also kills lone star ticks for 8 weeks.

Bravecto is rated 4.7077 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! I have 4 mixed breed dogs all over 50 lbs. Every year I seemed to have to change flea meds because they would stop working. About a year ago one of my biggest babies was losing hair because of an awful flea infestation. The vet recommended Bravecto and WOW! the problem was gone I'd say in a day maybe less time. We are in NC and boy are ticks and fleas a problem especially in the country areas. It's pricey, but sure worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bravecto for Polly We have been using Bravecto for our English Bulldog for 2 years. It is so much easier than collars or rubbing on the neck. Polly thinks it is a treat so we have no problem getting her to take it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy and flea free We started Bravecto for our Chihuahua and all of us-especially our chi- are very happy and now flea free. We live in Fl and for the past years have gone through cycles of everything literally. The last usage was Revolution. Revolution did us very well the past year but after a stray cat visitor, it was useless. Our dog was miserable. Our other chis (only 2 lbs) had many fleas as well but wasn't able to be put on anything due to her size. We started the other chi on Bravecto, had the cat de fleaed, gave the small baby another bath and combing. We have not started the small one on anything and there have been no fleas on either one of them for a couple months now. Our home has no carpet and is under 1000 sq ft. Not sure if that is a variable but we have all been happy. Our chihuahua smiles again and is much more relaxed-no other side effects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fast!! We tried Advantage first and it didn't do a thing. Our Vet then recommended Bravecto and I'm so happy they did! It's an easy chewable. My dog stopped itching by 75% in less than a week. His skin is healing and I haven't seen any fleas. Absolutely worth it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gets ticks that I can't! The wife, dog and I went hiking and found ourselves a giant nest of seed ticks. The ticks were so small we couldn't see their legs! I probably had the least amount of ticks on me and my feet were covered with hundreds. I felt so bad for the dog because he was covered from his toes, up his legs and on his body! He is a long haired black German Shepherd mix so there was no way of getting even a single tick off. Thankfully when we took him to the vet, Bravecto was recommended. Ticks were no kidding falling off dead within hours! About a week of brushing and bathing him and he was tick free! We use nothing but Bravecto now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from solved my flea problems in 2 days I had a major flea problem with 5 shih tzus, gave them so many flea baths, purchased so much product, picked fleas constantly, sprayed house, yard and nothing but the bravecto worked for me. A true miracle, I spent a fortune on flea products, used Revolution for 19 years and noe it does not work anymore, frontline does not work either. I have heard this from so many people.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing stuff! I live on the Gulf Coast where our warm winters are great for both humans and fleas so flea control is a constant problem. For years, generic frontline worked to keep my 4 indoor cats and 2 indoors-99%-of-the-time dogs flea free. Well, then it stopped working and the nasty critters took over, uncovering a flea allergy in our of our cats who was licking herself raw. I switched to brandname frontline, then other well-known topicals, smeared the pets and carpets with DE, put garlic in their food, vacuumed constantly, spent hours picking fleas off dogs, but nothing worked... until I stumbled on Bravecto. It killed the fleas on the dogs darn near instantly which made the itchy cat stop itching within days. It's been about 6 weeks now and still no sign of fleas. Amazing stuff. Will never give the dogs anything else.

Will Bravecto protect against deer ticks, (those which carry lyme disease)? I do not see it mentioned in the description- only the other types of ticks.

Can I give a 44 pound dog half a tablet meant for the 88 pound dog?

Asked by: Jimb
Yes the samples I received from my vet were over my dogs weight so that is what they told me to do. Break it half and save half for the next time . I put it in a zip lock baggie to keep it fresh.

Provide clarification of dosage in a 2 pk

Are there only two pills in the item labeled 2 pk? The lack of product information on the website is an issue that needs attention.
