These Wahl pet grooming clippers allow you to quickly and easily groom your pet's fur in the convenience of your own home, while still giving you the look of a professional cut. Featuring high-grade steel blades specially designed to stay sharper longer than other blade types, these small animal clippers ensure a smooth, even trim every time you use them, and the rotary motor has enough torque and power to cut the densest and coarsest fur. How it Works:
As you guide the Wahl clippers through your pet's coat, the high-grade steel blade cuts the fur to the desired length, according to the size of the guide comb, and leaves your pet's coat uniform and immaculate.
Cautions:
Always run clippers through fur in long, smooth strokes to avoid jabbing your pet. Make sure to use included blade guards when clippers are not in use to avoid accidental injury to you or your pet.

I have used a wahl clipper set similar to this one for over 20 years on cockers,Maltese, poodles and Shih tzus. Well it finally gave up the ghost so I am looking forward to my new one.

we have 5 shih tzus and the buzz cutters did not cut anything. totally disappoined. the main buzz cutter and the mini battery operated buzz cutter, even w/out the attachments, were worthless. don't they try this stuff before selling it|||||

Change Blades
Can I change the blade to a 7f on this clipper?

Do you cut with or against the hair?
When you cut your dog or cats fur you always go with the grain never against the grain.
Because when you cut against the grain you will take off more fur then you where wanting to.

do you need to use cooling oil on the blades when cutting hair. many years ago i cut my cocker, but had to keeps cooling the blades to keep cutting

Thank you for your question Bev. You definitely need to invest in a can of cooling lube. It will cool and lubricate the blade on your clipper. If you are doing a classic Cocker cut, this clipper will work out pefectly because you can use the comb attachments to trim the skirt and legs.

What is the best way to cut the fur on the face?
I am always nervous when grooming his face. Additionally, the legs always give me fits too!

Thanks your question Marty, without seeing dog I couldn't say, some are more Poodle, some are more Pekingnese and some are definite combination of both. You can consult with a local groomer or search the internet for images of your furry buddy. One recommendation I will give you as a professional groomer, invest in a good pair of thinning shears(40+ teeth) to get a blended and more finished look.

Can you use the clippers without one of the attachment combs?
I like to cut my pekepoo's hair as short as possible. especially on his face. Sometimes the combs don't give me the results I want so I like to use the clipper without the attachment.
Thank you for your question Marty and happy holidays. Yes, you can use the clippers without the comb attachment. This clipper has a #10 blade which will leave 1/64" fur left on your furry pal's body. As a professional groomer, you do not want use the clipper in the opposite direction of your pet's fur growth pattern, because that will leave 1/100" of fur.

Will this product work on slightly shortening a shedding Labrador with short straight fur?
