What is Snoozer Console Pet Car Seat?

The Snoozer Console Pet Car Seat fits right on the console of your vehicle between you and your passenger. It keeps your pet safe, and out of your lap, but still right in the middle of the excitement! The interior of the Snoozer Console Pet Car Seat is equipped with a safety strap so your pet won't jump out, and an outer strap to secure the car seat base to your console's lid. It comes in small and large sizes, and three different color options.

How it Works:

The Snoozer Console Pet Car Seat straps to the console lid of your vehicle, which keeps your pet out of your lap, for a much safer journey. It is made out of a firm, but comfortable foam that fits a larger console. The outer safety strap keeps the car seat in place, while the interior safety strap clips right onto your pet's harness to keep him or her from jumping out. The cover is removable, washable and dryable and comes in 3 different colors. Choose between either a small or large for your pet (See Size tab for details).

Cautions:

For animal use only. Do not leave your pet unattended in a vehicle for an extended period of time. Measure your console and your pet before purchase.

Directions:

Place the Snoozer Console Pet Car Seat on your vehicle's console.
Take the two outer straps and attach them underneath the opening of the console (between the lid and the bottom of your console).
Once secured, place your pet inside the car seat and attach the interior clip to your pet's harness.
At first, allow your pet to get used to his or her new car seat by taking short trips; gradually working your way up to longer distances.

Tip:

Try using a treat or catnip as a way to show your pet his or her new car seat.

Storage:

Store in a cool, dry place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PomMom from My Pomeranian Loves It Originally, I ordered the Large one, but it was way too wide for the console of my Toyota Rav-4. I printed the return label and called to let 1800PetMeds know that I was returning it, but I wanted to try the Small. They were very helpful. My account was immediately refunded the difference in cost, and the Small arrived at my house just a few days after I shipped the Large back to them. The Small fits perfectly, and my 7.5 lb super fluffy Pomeranian fits perfectly. It might be a little too hot for her in the summer, because it is snug, but it's great for now. She loves riding in the middle, and I feel better knowing that she is safely secured in her seat. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Liliemae from A perfect seat for long distance travel We bought this for our small Devon Rex cat to help us drive him out to Seattle from Orlando. This seat made the trip so easy. Our cat always cried when he was inside a carrier but if you held him in your lap while in the car, he was fine. We bought him a small dog harness from Petco and used it with the large seat on the console between the seats of our Jeep Wrangler. It fit perfectly. As soon as the car was in motion, he laid down and stretched out in the seat. We ended up taking quite a few pictures of him because he would lay on his back sound asleep as the car travelled. I would recommend this to anyone.

how firm are the sides?

Our console in the narrowest part is not 8.5" so I don't know if the car seat will fit on our front console. It probably would fit on the back seat console but don't know if our little 5 lb. Chihuahua would be happy in the back. If the sides will push in a little it might work in the front of the car.
