Will dogs lose weight on this formula?

I have a 13 year-old choc. lab/Ger. short hair pointer mix. I'd like to put him on a senior diet for the nutritional benefits, but since he stays on the thin side, I want to be sure he's getting enough caloric intake. Will this formula give him what he needs?

This product is formulated to support ideal body weight. It does have addtional nuitrients and proteins that are great for mature dogs. You would want to check the amount of fat in the food you are using now and compare it to the ingredients on this product. Out of the 3 cans we carry, the beef has the highest fat and protein content.
