How it works:

Each batch of Taste of the Wild is cooked with water that is purified through reverse osmosis, the same process used by popular bottled water manufacturers. This helps to remove any microorganisms, organic and inorganic chemicals, and ensures the meats and meat meals are steamed (cooked) with purified water. Tip:

Digestive upset caused by a diet change can sometimes be prevented by mixing some non-fat plain yogurt in with your dog's food each day during the transition. The live cultures within the yogurt will help balance the flora within the digestive system and minimize flatulence or loose stools that are sometimes associated with a diet change.

Rated 1 out of 5 by linny from New and improved....UNIMPROVED! We loved this brand for our Irish Setter, but a month ago the formula changed to more watery content and our Dog has become gassy and he backs away from the food bowl. Enough said by our dog. Why change a good thing?

We bought a new case of the bison and the Pacific stream and noticed it being watery. Upon looking at the label we noticed the formula said new and improved. Well if improved means about half of what you got in the previous version that is true. We also noticed our dog had a lot of gas after eating the new product. We had a can of the previous version and compared them and took pictures and sent it to the manufacturer who sent us an address to get a refund if we were unhappy with the new product. We were. A shame they changed this product in order to save money and give the consumer less.

My friend's father, who's a German shep breeder & trainer recommended Taste of the Wild to me (I had never heard of it). Before this I was odering Flint River and i had mixed results (one week she was fine, the next week was the runs). Well I switched her to this brand cold turkey bc I had run out of her food. I was expecting the runs bc I didn't transition her, but NOPE! She did great on it from day one and has not had the runs since. She's on grain free diet. I give her the dry kibble with one scoop of the can food and she loves it! All her gas/diahrea are gone.
