Ginger currently eats a prescription weight control food. She requires insulin but no longer is overweight. Would this food be appropriate? If so, is any one ingredient formula better than another for stabilizing blood sugar?

Hi Georgia, great question. A better alternative would be the Petcurian Go! Natural Salmon and Oatmeal Dry Dog Food: http://www.1800petmeds.com/Go!+Natural+Salmon+++Oatmeal+Dry+Dog+Food+-prod568148.html Oatmeal is a slower release carb, and the fiber included is more appropriate. It is crucial, though to monitor blood glucose levels closely after a change in diet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jason Pet Med Pro from Great food! I started giving this to my Doberman, Blaze last night. He loves the taste!!!! He did not lift his head from the bowl until every bit was gone. I will write a new review once the food has time to improve his skin and coat.
