Good Product
This product was recommended by my vet for PREVENTING, not replacing, a dental prophylaxis (which is done under anesthesia). Every cat is different when it comes to palatability. I have one cat who will tear the bag open to get to them, and one cat who totally ignores them. I love that they're huge so that my one cat is forced to chew (he typically inhales his food) and I can hear the abrasive action working. If you're not sure what your cat will think of the taste, I would suggest purchasing a small bag or asking for samples from your vet.

We both love these!
Like other reviewers, my little hoover of a cat swallows smaller treats whole. These make him slow down and chew. So far, he's had excellent dental check ups and I owe a lot of that to C.E.T. chews.

My cat LOVES these chews
My cat, Mini, loves these treats! She bats and chases it around and then eats it! I feel like these dental treats are more effective than any others because she has to chew them first. The only thing that really helps her breath is brushing her teeth.

Great product!
The best thing about these treats is their larger size and the soft wafer type texture; It makes it impossible for our little piggy to swallow it whole- she actually chews them!
And her brother who hates most treats- especially fish flavors- goes nuts for these. He likes to bat them around a little first.

My two cats absolutely love these chews. One time after I received them I forgot to put them away and they ripped the bag open and started eating them!! My vet complimented my female on how clean her teeth were.

Worst Purchase Ever for Mya
My cat, Mya, did not care for these at all. She played with one of the chews for a few seconds and then completely ignored it. I broke in into 2 pieces & she still avoided it. I give up. After leaving it on the floor for 3 days, I pitched it. I'm going to give the bag to a friend to see what her cat thinks about them. Total waste of money!

These are different than other treats.I have 3 indoor cats.One ,the male cat,loves the treats.Two females will sniff them but will not eat them.Depends on the cat I suppose.

Are the cats supposed to eat the plastic-like wrapper that surrounds each treat?

What ingredient in the CET chews for cats is it that prevents them now being shipped to NM??
I have ordered them on line for several years after trying them from my vet. All of my cats love them. None of the vets here in NM can get them either.
Also all on line orders are now on backorder so no telling when they will even be available!! I hate it!!! M
Hi there and good afternoon. Due to licensing requirements with Virbac (who makes the cet chews for cats) they cannot sell the cet chews for cats in New Mexico. Therefore we cannot ship this product there.

Safe for pets with thyroid conditions?
My cat is on Y/D prescription food to manage her thyroid hormone levels. Will this product counteract the food in any way? What is the iodine content of this product?
If your cat is on prescription Y/D then that is the ONLY diet they can eat, or else it won't work. I work at an animal hospital and we often don't bother with this diet because it's so hard for owners to feed JUST this diet. They can't even lick a dot of gravy, or it throws everything off. I would speak with the veterinarian who prescribed this diet if you have questions.
