my cats love them!
i read the reviews before i bought these and i knew my cats wouldn't touch them, or they would love them - LOVED THEM! so happy they do. my bob can hardly bath he sheds so much. he's been eating them for about a month or so and is a little perplexed that he ONLY gets two, maybe three a day. this is confusing to him since he wants more, and he loves his treats, especially these treats. i hope they can help him. only more time will tell but so far so good! please help us shed terminator!

Need to be softer
I've tried these chews before. When I open the package they seem to be dried out. My horribly shedding male cat will only eat them for a day or two then doesn't want them anymore. The female cat won't eat them at all. They need to be moister.

This Works!
Thought I'd add an additional comment. Pearl has been taking one a day now since the initial treatment of 2 per day in October. The shedding has improved vastly!!! I love this product. She is, however, still skeptical about eating it. I break it into 3 pieces and sometimes she will only eat 2 of the pieces. I wish there could be a flavor option in some way.

My cat ate a couple of them and that was all; she turned away every time after that.
So, I gave my package to a neighbor and her two cats reacted exactly the same way :-(.

Bad taste
My cat will not eat this product, not even ground up in her favorite food. She has gone forever without eating because this is in her food. Have been trying for a week to get her to eat it in very small crumbs with no luck in wet or dry food. If i give it to her whole, she just puts it out of her bowl and then eats her food. Waste of money.

My cats don't seem to care for the taste, to the point that I have to "disguise" it in their regular food. So far, I can't tell a big difference in their coats, though they've only been using it about 1 week.

My cat refuses to eat it!!
I even tried mixing it with his favorite treat. He picks out what he likes and leaves the shed terminator in the bowl!! He acts offended when he realizes it in there! I'm very disappointed with this product. I expected MORE for the price I paid.

How much should I give my cat?
The bottle says to give 2 per day for 4-6 weeks and then switch to 1 per day. I was wondering if it would work for me to just give her 1 per day?

Shed Terminator for 7 cats
Shed Terminator seems to be a very good product. With 7 cats I have real cat hair problem. I have no idea how I would separate my cats to administer the Shed Terminator, not to mention the cost. Any clue what to do?
Place each cat in a room -bathroom would work (with the door closed) and simply give the medication....in a treat..otherwise my cats will NOT ingest the medication.
Repeat until you have given all the cats the medication.

I have 2 cats and neither of them like the taste. I mixed it in canned cat food. What else should I try?
I did mix some in real turkey I mad for xmas and still wouldn't eat it.
Diane, just hang in there and persist. They wouldn't let me amend my initial review of this product, where I complained of the same thing -- but my cats did eventually give in and start eating the food with the supplement in it. I use far less than the recommended amount; otherwise they wouldn't touch their food. I put a half capsule in each can of food -- which meant it took longer to see results, of course. (They still suck off all the gravy and leave the solid stuff in the bowl, so they're not getting the full benefit, but their coats are better and, while they still shed like crazy, I don't have giant orange tumbleweeds rolling through the living room as I once did.) What if my cat's allergic to fish?
My cat will be 18 in May, he started clumping over the winter & it's getting worse. The big question is my cat is allergic to fish, can he still take this? I ordered it anyway but wondering if you have anything that works as good as this that doesn't contain fish?
Fish oil is used in this product. It is possible your cat will have a reaction.
