iPET Blood Glucose Test Strips
Need far too much blood. Also very expensive when compared with strips available for humans. My cat is diabetic and I have to poke extra holes in his little ears to get enough blood. I am thrilled the technology is out there and would buy it if it cost twice as much. This is better then nothing. But why can't we be offered something that needs a lot less blood. This makes it harder on the animal then it needs to be.

Too much blood
My dog is 11 !/2 yrs and is now diabetic. I am an RN and was not intimidated at all with doing home blood testing. However I have found that these test strips need more blood than I sometimes can produce with a lance poke. I would like to see the company working on a device that could use less blood.

IPET GLUCOSE STRIPS
I FOUND IT VERY EASY TO USE THESE STRIPS HOWEVER WHEN DOING THE CONTROL TEST WHEN YOU OPEN A NEW BOTTLE I CONTAMINATED THE SOLUTION. THE DIRECTIONS DID NOT EXPLAIN THAT. BUT I CALLED THE COMPANY AND THEY WERE VERY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL WITH ME AND SENT ME 2 NEW BOTTLES OF SOLUTION AND A FREE BOTTLE OF TEST STRIPS. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE COMPANY AND MY MACHINE IS WORKING GREAT.

Where is the best place to get a blood sample from a dog using the ipet glucometer? i.e. samoyed huskie
I have found with my dog that the best place is his lip. I am able to get enough blood there for the meter to register a blood level. When I tried his pads I did not get enough blood.
