What are Super Joint Enhancer Soft Chews?

1-800-PetMeds Super Joint Enhancer Soft Chews are a nutritional joint supplement, for cats and dogs, containing a triple action formula of glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM to promote walking with ease, climbing stairs and running. Our customers love it and write that it helps their pets maintain healthy joints and activity levels. Super Joint Enhancer Soft Chews have a tasty chicken-liver flavor with minimal sugar, and are easy to administer. Super Joint Enhancer is also available for dogs as a pork and beef flavored Super Joint Enhancer chewable tablet with no sugar. Made with care in the USA.

For:

Cats and Dogs

Benefits:
  • Helps your pet walk and run with ease
  • Improves flexibility allowing your pet to climb stairs and jump
  • Safe and can be given with arthritis pain medications (Rimadyl, Deramaxx, Metacam, Tramadol, etc.)
  • Maintains healthy joints
  • Tasty chicken liver flavor in an easy-to-eat soft chew
How it works:

The active ingredients include glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM. Glucosamine is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Many believe that it provides clinical benefit in the synovial fluid by strengthening cartilage and aiding glycosaminoglycan synthesis. Further research on the effectiveness of glucosamine is still needed, but many of our customers find it to be very beneficial to their pets.

Cautions:

Give during a meal, or after your pet has eaten, to reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal upset. Diabetic dogs should have their blood sugars monitored if they are given glucosamine supplements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog loves this I bought this for my 11-year-old dog. She suffers from hip dysplasia and sometimes it is visible that she is in pain. Since I bought this she is active and looks forward to eating this as a treat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 12 1/2 year old Retriever-Chow mix Daisy Mae started to be gimpy several years ago so we started her on Super Joint Enhancer. Noticed a change in a few weeks. Ya she has lost a little bit of her movements as is usual for a dog and person of her age but she still likes to, play ball roll in the snow in the dead of winter and go for walks. Now our grandchild also keeps her on the go playing ball.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dog Loves Them My small dog Snickers who is 7 years old has occasional problems with leg joint pain and will limp. I bought these and starting giving them to her (she loves them) and I have not seen her limp in quite awhile. I had bought another brand before and she still had issues, but these chews work great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I have tried other pills for my 64 lb, 9 yr old, Malamute, that has trouble walking with her hips and knees. I tried these biscuit type and she loves them and after taking them for a bit she is walking with no limp and has no trouble getting up anymore. She even plays with our 8 month old pup. I can see the difference in her so much that I will continue to give her these everyday with her morning meal. She is not in pain any longer and she can move freely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective I begin giving this to my rescued dogs as soon as they arrive and see noticible results within a week to a month. I have a large mix dog (65lbs) and two small mix (20lbs +/-) dogs. The large one is possibly a White Shepard and Lab, one of the small ones is possibly Rat Terrier and Chihuahua. The other seems to be Papillon and your guess is as good as mine. All three are as I, a typical American mutt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Max love these and has great results My 10 year old Shepherd Max has been taking these for just over a month. I have noticed a significant improvement in his willingness and desire to run and play with our younger dog. He seems much less stiff when getting up and laying down. Best of all, he thinks he is getting a special treat on top of each meal he gets. Thank you for suggesting I try them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from my dog refused to eat it I read the customer reviews before purchase. I would hide the bite-sized chew among my dog's dry and wet food. The only thing left after he finished eating was the Super Joint Enhancer Soft Chew; tried for several days and he refused to eat it. Wasted $65. Went back to powdered joint supplement with similar ingredients; tasted better to Ceasar & he ate it daily sprinkled on his dry & wet food.

Q&A

can I order the large chews and cut them up for smaller dogs. I have 6 of my own dogs and 3 foster dogs, most who are getting older and need help for stiff joints. It would help with the cost

Asked by: DebbsHereNow
The large chews are formulated for dogs 25-100 lbs. Both small dog and med/large dog chews have the same active ingredients. However the amount of the ingredients depending on the size of your furry baby differ. For example, for small dogs the active ingredients are as follows: Glucosamine HCl125 mg, Chondroitin Sulfate100 mg, MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)25 mg, Ascorbic Acid (Stay-C)8.25 mg, and Manganese (as Mn Proteinate)1.25 mg. For med/large dogs the ingredients are: Glucosamine HCl500 mg, Chondroitin Sulfate400 mg, MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)100 mg Ascorbic Acid (Stay-C)33 mg, Manganese (as Mn Proteinate)5 mg Because the amount of the active ingredients differ, as a licensed pharmacy, we are unable to recommend breaking the large chews in half. This may result in improper dosing which can cause the supplement to be less effective.

This supplement would definitely help with your Furry Childs Arthritic issues. Since you have your Furry Friend already on two prescribed medications you should consult your vet prior to using any supplement or vitamins etc.
