What is Cesar Millan Pack Leader Collar?

The Cesar Millan Pack Leader Collar was designed to help train dogs that pull when walking on a leash. The strong, padded neoprene mesh construction and double-band design help keep the slip collar at the top of your dog's neck for safe, effective training. Meant for training purposes, the Cesar Millan Pack Leader Collar helps you establish your role as the Pack Leader. When you need to correct your dog's behavior while walking, simply give a firm and quick pull on the leash. Use of a short leash (not included) is recommended for optimal control and to keep your dog close. During times where you do not want to use the slip collar for training, there is a second D-ring at the base of the collar where you can attach a leash for regular walking or ID tags.

How it Works:

The Cesar Millan Pack Leader Collar was designed to be used while walking with your dog to the left and holding the leash in your left hand. If you need to make a correction, simply give a firm and quick pull on the leash. Mastering the walk is the first step in establishing your role as the Pack Leader. Be patient with your dog and pay attention to your energy. It is important to stay calm and assertive. A short leash is recommended for optimal control and to keep your dog close.

If your dog has any medical conditions, consult with your veterinarian before use. It is not recommended for dogs with extremely short necks, such as English Bulldogs, or very long, slender necks, such as Greyhounds.

Directions:

Place the Cesar Millan Pack Leader Collar around your dog's neck with the O-ring at the top of the head.
Adjust the straps so they are snug, but comfortable.
The collar is properly fitted when the mesh padding lies on your dog's trachea.
Attach a short leash to the larger O-ring at the end of the slip collar.

The Cesar Millan Pack Leader Collar comes in three sizes (small, medium, and large).
To determine the proper collar size for your dog, measure the circumference of the throat at the base of the neck near the collarbone. Correct fit is important for effectiveness and control.
The Cesar Millan Pack Leader Collar is not recommended for dogs with necks smaller than 13" or larger than 23" (measured around the base of the neck near the collarbone) or dogs who weigh less than 18 pounds or for puppies under one year of age. Please consult your vet about any medical conditions before using this or any corrective collar.
The Cesar Millan Pack Leader Collar is recommended to be used with a short leash to give you maximum control on your walk and to keep your dog close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Paws20 from This collar is great! I bought this a few days ago for my large breed dog who was pulling me when I was walking him. When I put this collar on him it is so much easier to redirect my dog to walk beside me not in front. I recommend giving this collar a try if you are having trouble with walking your dog. I do not however make him were this all day, just when going on our pack walk.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JT from Disappointing. So disappointed by the quality of this product. The 4 clasps that adjust the collars are cheap plastic, and I hardly got to use it bc my puppy chewed 1/2 way into the bungee-cord-type "O"-ring that attaches to the leash. I love Cesar Millan, and think this was a good idea/concept, but the quality of the collar wasn't great--especially for $45.
