Very Effective!
This product has been fantastic for one of my cats who was having some severe issues with hair balls, even though his fur is really not long, but it is thick. He developed diarrhea & tummy trouble that required a trip to the emergency vet. Since taking the chews, he has not had one problem. Yay!! My female kitty refuses to eat them but she has not had the issues. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share our experience!

Emma Lulu and Pete are not coughing up hair balls or leaving them around the house since they are having 2 treats a day. I never gave them treats before but now after seeing the amazing results they will have them daily! Thank You!

I am a senior cat who has hairball/ constipation problems..I tried multi products including prescription products ( yuky taste and messy) but this really worked and I love the taste . I would definitely recommend .

It works great!
Before trying Hairball Plus, my Kai Boy would throw up many times a month. After one month, he has thrown up only once. I will continue to use this! He likes it and meows when he sees me at the cupboard getting it. Thanks for this product.

I swear by these. They are more expensive than pet store treats but our lavishly-coated Angora cat has not coughed up a hairball since I started giving him one a day over a year ago! He used to average a hack attack about once every two weeks, so this is a HUGE improvement, beyond what I thought possible!

Easy to use
Cookie is getting old. He spends his days eating, sleeping and coughing up hairballs on the new carpet. The Hairball Plus has really helped him and me.he seems to feel better, also.

Can you use this product along with the shed terminator product?
Some of the ingredients are the same so you would want to use one or the other. Also maybe rotate them every 3-4 months.

How appropriate is this product for an insulin-dependent diabetic cat.
Always discuss changes with your vet but this will depend on if you monitor BGs. Since the basic ingredient is from Chicken Liver that shouldn't be an issue since it is protein, but there are flours and some cranberry extract (sugars?).
If you decide to give it a try I would check BGs at +2 and again at +4 to see if you get any unusual spikes. I wouldn't think there would be enough to make much difference but it will depend on your kitty and you could always up your insulin slightly to compensate. As you might know ECID (every cat is different) and only with testing will you really know for sure.

They are 3.17 ounces - there are 60 chews and you give your cat 2 chews a day!

How appropriate is this item for a cat that is prone to getting struevite crystals and is on an Rx diet?
Unless approved by your vet we would not suggest to add this to the diet.

What if my cat won't eat the hairball chews?
My cat isn't interested in treats - I have gotten her to eat her oral care catfood, but have had little success with other treats. She also staunchly refuses to eat the hairball pastes that come in tubes.
Our cat used to stick his nose up at "treats".
He begs for more than the dosage. He loves these!
