What is Flea4X Shampoo?
1-800-PetMeds' Flea4X Shampoo is a flea and tick shampoo that contains permethrin, which controls fleas and ticks on contact. Flea4X Shampoo also contains aloe and lanolin to leave the coat soft and lustrous. It has a pleasant citrus smell too!

How it works:
Flea4X Shampoo contains permethrin, an insecticide that controls fleas and ticks on contact. Wearing gloves, wet your dog's hair thoroughly and apply shampoo right to the fur, making sure to cover every inch of your pup's body. Once applied, Flea4X Shampoo goes to work killing all fleas and ticks on your dog.
Remember, if your dog has fleas on his or her body, it's likely you have fleas in your home too. You must treat your home & yard to get rid of a flea infestation!
Caution:
This product is safe for dogs over 12 weeks of age, and is not for use on cats. Consult your veterinarian before using this product if your dog is debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing, or is on medication. Keep out of reach of children.

What is this product used for:
Flea4X Shampoo is a flea and tick shampoo for dogs that helps control fleas and ticks on contact. It can only be used on dogs and puppies 12 weeks of age or older.

How this product should be used:
Use Flea4X Shampoo by thoroughly wetting your dog's hair, applying the shampoo and working into a lather. Allow lather to remain on your pet for at least 10 minutes for best results. Always use gloves.
What are the side effects:
Sensitivities may occur with any pesticide product. If skin sensitivities occur, wash your pet with mild soap and large amounts of water. If signs persist, consult your veterinarian.
What special precautions are there:
Do not use on puppies under 12 weeks of age. Consult your vet before using on debilitated, aged, or medicated dogs. Can be used on pregnant or lactating dogs.
If swallowed:
Harmful if swallowed. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet.
If in eyes:
Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
If on skin:
Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
How should I store this product:
Store in a cool, dry place.
Directions for 1-800-PetMeds Flea4X Shampoo:
- Read entire label before each use and use only on dogs.
- Avoid the eyes when shampooing, and use a sponge or cloth when shampooing around the eyes.
- Use gloves and wet your pet's hair thoroughly with warm water.
- Apply shampoo to your dog's coat, and make a lather by working through all of your dog's hair.
- For maximum parasite control, leave the lathered shampoo on your dog for 5-10 minutes before rinsing.
- Do not reapply shampoo for at least 7 days, and do not use on puppies under 12 weeks of age.

Product does work!!
I have two big dogs and I use this and the Flea 4X flea med that goes between their shoulder blades. They have not had fleas for a long time. This stuff really works.

Excellent Product
I am Ziva, a 6 months old Dachsund. Mommuyuses this product on me and it kills fleas like no other product. Just be sure to shampoo me an extra long time to give it time to kill the fleas. We can see fleas in the sink after my bath and in the towel she dries me with and they fall out when she combs me. 95% of them are dead. This is mommy's second order. Nothing we have tried works this good.

Meh -not bad
Used it on our pet.
Saw flea's in the tub grab hold of the wall and to jump away. Doesn't "kill on contact".
After the bath / drying time he seemed okay.

Very Harsh
This product works great on fleas, but is extremely harsh. My Pomeranian was left with dry, flaky, itchy skin. I had to massage lotion into his skin a couple days afterwards. Also, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON DOGS WITH SKIN ALLERGIES OR SENSITIVE SKIN. I tried it on my shepherd-mix who has skin sensitivities and had to immediately remove the product and wash him with Relief Shampoo, along with administering Benadryl. His skin turned bright red, he began whimpering, and he was visibly swelling. This product does NOT leave the coat soft or luxurious. It is GREAT at removing fleas, but not so gentle for the dog. I am very displeased.

The first time that I'm used couldn't believe, after 10 minutes I could see
fleas came out of my two dogs. This product is fabulous.

is there any lasting kill effect after coat dries or contact kill only
In the sense that I dont have to put their flea meds on as often. Otherwise their coat is beautiful not dry.

When using FourX with Frontline Plus
How long should you wait between putting the K-9 Advantage on your dog & washing him/her with FourX shampoo? I dont want to cancel out the K-9 Advantage.I have already applied the K-9 Advantage for the month & now want to wash with FourX shampoo how long should I wait?
My vet advised me to always wait at least 3 days (a full 72 hrs) between these products. He recommended that I shampoo first, then wait and put on the "top spot." (Although, he said either one can technically be used before the other.) He explained that the oils in the pet's skin is what helps the flea prevention product to spred all over and give the best results.

How many ounces of dip come in this bottle and how many gallons of dip does it make?
Thank you for your question Tony. Flea 4X shampoo 12oz(Item 11326) is not a dip. You may be thinking of Mitaban Dip 10.6ml (Item 10223), which is a concetrate requiring 2 gallons of warm water.
